Taken out of the most recent Q&A:

Subcomfreak
We all know about the game screen random shift to get rid of auto-clickers, and complex macros made by players themselves with a recorder, but how could you detect the most advance auto-fighter? So don't look at me like I'm a bad guy ) Which has anti-ban features, logs you out when you run out of hp, eats, and uses a spec atk every 10 monsters!!!! How can you detect stuff like that?

We cannot share information regarding how we detect macros – to do so would compromise the systems we use and make circumvention easier. However, the macro detection systems used by Jagex are among the most complex in the games industry and we can detect any and every form of macroing in the game. Many people seem to believe that with anti-ban features they will never be caught, but that simply isn’t the case. We’ve yet to see a macro that is even partially good at going undetected.

Obviously they haven't seen SCAR before.

I just had to post this, lol. I've been using a script I made on my main account for over a year now, sometimes 4-6 hours a day everyday for a couple weeks straight. No black mark, no extra randoms, and the account has made me over 600M now :p

Jagex certainly talks a big game…

Lol
Why are my accounts that I auto up to 21 hours staight a day still not banned?
My script is undetectable :p

LOL! Man that's funny, they just don't wanna give anyone any ideas though.

Duh. You don't see the macros that are undetectable, because they are…. undetectable. So every macro you do see, is detectable.

How do you like my claws Salliedallie? GUESS WHERE THEY CAME FROM. By the way guys, Jagex just admitted that their detection system is based on behaviour ;)

They obviously base it on a crapload of factors and they won't share it because it's something that isn't necassary for botting :)

Jagex workers all know that botting can be very undetectable, they just don't want to tell it to players.

Agreed. If they tell that to players, the players will get mad/auto more often. :P

Boreas- I was thinking the same thing, although I've never seen the clip you posted. :p

I think Jagex is able to detect 99% of the macroers. Not because of the way they behave, but because of other algorythms. I would love to prove this, but i cant (yet) |D…

So if you dont auto 24/7 on the same account you should still be quite safe.

Jagex is able to detect and ban 100% of the autoers existent in the game, from their perspective. ;)

((If you can prove that, then does said proof show that we are within the upper 1% of those who employ macroing techniques in the RuneScape world(s)? :p ))

It's on behaviour for sure(ofcourse they use algorithms for comparing and examining the behavier etc), if they were able to actually detect that you are running SCAR, SMART, or anything similar, we'd all have our asses mass banned.

Of course they wouldn't say "oh yes, there are plenty of macros and bots around that we can't detect!", as that would lead to tons of children googling for "epic bawtz".. Most would end up getting keylogged/banned after finding some outdated or fake autominers and whatnot, and the rest would end up leeching at some real community.. And Jagex wouldn't want that.

Well i would only feel save, if scar would use the mouse driver and keyboard driver to direct input to the game(not the WIndows API).

Also smart is another issue I see. Because when you're using smart, you don't load the advertisement and the page where the advertisement and client is on.
