So i have an acer

Heres the problem..

The Red box is kinda like popping up..


so i called acer, to get this done before my warranty ended. (ends next month)

I pick up they ask like 15 questions on how it happened.

e,g:Did you see it pop up
Were u opening laptop
were u closing the laptop
were u typing
were u at the computer etc etc..

so all of them i said no to except one kinda slipped and i said yes. I get put on hold.. They say they cant help me, my warranty does not cover this because you caused the incident. Im like wow, how much does it cost to fix, they say 200 bux..

200!!

im calling back tomorrow, any advice

Have a parent call, business' like that tend to "play games" with kid's.If they need to talk to you, say you opened it up, and it was just like that.

Oh so say like , last week i just opened it up and it was like that.

I have that same laptop, or a very similar one. I do not have that problem. Do you mean that the little "grill" up there is popping up in the corner? If so, you could maybe just tape it down under it, with a very small amount of tape? You would not even realize it.

if not, i have aspire 5735z, and i really want to send this in for warranty cause im having other issues.

Where did you buy it from?

Check their warranty see if it covers accidental damage. If it does phone them back and demand a repair/replacement.

If your not getting anywhere demand to speak to their supervisor / manager and explain the situation that you got up in the morning, went down and opened laptop and this thing was just popping up?.

Else fails threaten to call trading standards (UK?).

Home content insurance?.

My warranty is from acer, and what warranty doesn't cover damage done not by the user it self? Calling back tonight, and demanding =]
