i know not much is known about its affects but does it affect quantity? done any tests on it etc. cheers

It makes you get items that are more valuable (in terms of the alch price) more often.

E.G Wealth won't help you get defenders, but it will help you get More mith 2h/addy 2h

so a monster that drops a certain item at a qunitity between 1-10 using a ring of wealth will not increase the chances that it drops 10 rather than 1?

I'm pretty sure it affects quality only, not quantity.

Its a rubbish item lol.

It does not increase the chance to get a valuable item, but it increases the value of the valuable item you are about to get. Some RS mod explained this on forums.

RS decides wheter you are going to get a rare item or not at the moment you start a fight with some monster. Lets say you attack a Dark Beast, and RS decides you will receive a Dragon 2H. If you are wearing a rin of wealth, this D2H has a chance to turn into a Dark Bow, which is worth more than D2H.
