Ok guys, here's a few more things :)

Please avoid spamming the script threads i made. In there i'd really like to see just he results you came to.

The scripts should be judged at Scripters cup level. Meaning, how close is this person to receiving a scripters cup?

When you are thinking such things it is normal that you might wish to discuss it with other people - be careful. I'd suggest that if you want to do so, make a new thread here " Discussion: Script #" and you all post there, discussing whatever you feel needs to be discussed.

Also, I might be away at some times. If there are any decisions that need to be taken, Zeph is the person who you should ask. Whatever he says, goes.

Good Judging all :) I'm actually really excited about this :p

Ok this is how it goes…

Out of the group who expressed interest in becoming a Judge for the Junior member's scripting competition, Rasta Magician has chosen 8 of you to assist with the judging. Well done. :)

Here are some quick remarks/instructions:
  • Make sure you read the stickies in this forum - the Marking Scheme and the Competition Rules and Opening Statment
  • There are 5 scripts to mark.
  • Each judge should make as many of the 5 scripts as they are willing.
  • Please discuss the scripts on their respective posts. Post any comments relating to the judging criteria or just general observations.
  • Do not post scores, marks, grade or percentages until everyone has finished marking.
  • When all the scripts have been marked (or when no one is willing to mark anymore) RM and I will collect the scores for each script and average them.
  • If there are large differences in the marks of the individual judges on a particular script I will ask the judges to discuss their marks with each other and attempt to reach a compromise. If that compromise cannot be reached RM and I will make the final decision.
  • It is fairer if each judge marks every script however we realise that might not be achievable. So we only expect that you attempt to mark as many entries as you feel able to fairly and undiscriminantly.
  • If you are thinking of which script to judge, judge the one with least posts which you haven't judged yet.
  • Bare in mind these scripts are several months/revisions old now. Many probably don't compile or run smoothly. You should only judge on the content of the script rather than the runtime. However if there is a non-SRL related error (such as missing begins/ends, semi-colons) then deduct marks accordingly.

So good luck and all the best,

Zeph and RM.
