Here's a useful script for studying. It's unfinished and all my ideas were left in the script. Hope you like it.

Script is attached with the study text file I used to generate the flash cards. If you want to make your own, all you do is setup a text file with the following:

## this is the 1st flash card
Q=What's Ron's sign?
A=Scorpio
## 2nd flash card
Q=How tall is Ron?
A=5'11"
## 3rd flash card
Q=What's a weenus?
A=The skin on your elbow

Ron, use ini's?
[section]
key = value
[0]
Q =
A =
[1]
Q =
A =

or just one section with:
[Main]
Q1 =
Q2 =
etc.
A1 =
A2 =
etc.

Good job anyway!

ini's would make it much easier to read the code and shorter

I love how you randomly appear and post a genius script.

You should add a "hint" button that would reveal a letter of the answer, starting from the first letter, and then revealing the next letter for each new buttonclick. Would be a lot better than just revealing the answer, due to several psychological reasons.

I'm glad you guys like it. @Hermen, @Miles I didn't want to use an ini file because my parsing makes it easier by omiting the [section] part and you can use # signs as comments.

@noidea, you're right! :)

@EvilChicken! Thanks man and that is a great suggestion. I should make it read a random percentage of the answer and display that as the hint.

By the way, the TScrollBox can be easily implemented in this if there is a way to make it transparent so the drawn blue lines will be on top of the scroll box. If there isn't a way to do that then I'll just draw the lines on top of the scroll box to match. By implementing this, you won't have to worry about long q/a that go off the form.

Very nice. I remember writing one of these a year or so ago. I fail at forums, so I dropped the project when it was mostly done :3

Nice work.

Thanks guys. Here's a little update. :)

Changes from .01 to .02
+ shuffle complete
+ replaced lbCards with a status bar
+ buttons are always enabled for continuous flow of index cards
+ resizing/maximizing procedure
+ choose font size in const
- fixed: now deletes combobox entries if the files no longer exist
- deleted: updateCards procedure because of status bar
- deleted: InArray function due to combobox's index of function
- deleted: lbSide label
- change: few changes in error messages
- change: changed some writeln's to popup windows

I agree hints would be nice, but that should be more of the quiz maker's job otherwise you could give it away easily.

Not that it really does anything, but if you make the form taller, a pixel of the lines gets added to the left and right of the buttons.

A little something to think about adding if at all possible would be to give each card a probability based on how often you get it right or wrong, so if you get questions wrong it keeps coming up more often until you prove that you know it. But that would require them to input whether they got it right or wrong.

Another minor annoyance would be fixed if you changed your main procedure to
var window: Twindowstate;
begin
ClearDebug;
window := GetSelf.WindowState;
GetSelf.WindowState := wsMinimized;
MainInitForm;
GetSelf.WindowState := window;
end.

Overall nice script that i could very well end up using in a couple of weeks.
