I just wanted to know if anyone here has heard or it , its homesite is http://kbot.info , I wanna know some about it, if its good , what language they use etc, well if someone is on that community , they may save me time on registering there and all that stuff…

Thanks!:norris:

It's a Java bot, like RSBot. It functions in pretty much the same way, by injecting accessor methods into the game client to retrieve field information. Personally I think that both the bot and the community are better than what RSBot has to offer.

KBot was made by people at RSBot who got fed up with all the leechers at RSBot.

(So it's almost exactly the same. Just a few more features like tabs)..

KBot doesn't have a plethora of forums offering random guides nor a black market filled with scammers. Neither Sythe nor Fagex have a bot associated with them anyways, so how would you ever get that impression?

I use it sometimes, it is pretty good. You can run like 4 bots at once, and see all 4 together on Spectator view. It also beats the invisible NPC thing that much RSBot-people got banned :)

From what I understand the staff at RSBot spread that rumor as propaganda against KBot without really proving anything was wrong.

I was wondering is theres actually anyone here who is an active member or uses KBot also often to know if its good, I was thinking on a post on RsBot that appeared by the massive ban days, it was kind of a feedback of what Jagex said , and they mentioned every other Autoing communities , including SRL, and I was like wtf…RsBot was going down and wanted to bring all others down together with them…

Same look to the forum interface, massive signatures, and the same kind of user base.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not knocking them; I just like here better.

A lot of people haven't ever heard of SCAR, either. KBot is made by ex-developer's/mods/admins from RSBot. It's better than RSBot. RSBot is popular and used by a lot of people, so KBot should be better, in theory.

Ermm.. you're wrong, I think. Why would a Java bot add Reflection? =X Reflection is for SCAR, is it not?

Infantry001

2009-08-17 13:51:49

Uhhhh nooooo.

Reflection is a method of retrieving data from the client. It's just a part of Java programming.

Why would a Java bot add reflection? Because it's undetectable, unlike BCEL.

If BCEL was detectable, why would so many people, including the developers of Java bots, use/make it? I just don't see any factual evidence backing that up… I doubt RSBot or KBot have a higher bans per user rate than SCAR/SRL or iBot/Nexus

I made scripts with rsbot and with SCAR. Used SCAR for 2 years now, no bans from it. Used RSBot for.. 1 month? 4 bans. Private scripts, made by myself with sufficient antiban and breaks. It seems that RSBot is pretty bannable?

Runescapian321

2009-08-17 22:46:34

I've had about 5 unexpected bans from Scar/SRL, and 0 from RSBot. Granted, I only used RSBot for like 3 months, and never abused it. Scar I've been using for 2 years and slight abuse (varies from 6-10 hours a day on the bans) got me banned a couple times.

If BCEL was detectable I would have been banned regardless of how long I autoed.

BreakHandler = ban city.
Disable that, thats what got your bans.

I got 4 rsbotters and they all have atleast 3m and almost 60 in each F2p skill except combat which they're all pures.

I run them day and night for about 2 months now and no bans.

Sorry to say this but when your main 99 woodcutter got banned it was because of your script. It clicked the same tiles for the trees every time.

Oh :o Yeah until V1.2 I think it was clicking the same one because I accidentally had random(1) instead of random(2) (First script ftl). Why didn't you say anything -.- Lol. Either way I don't it was because of that, it was because I abused it (for instance, 19 hour proggy, then I got 99 fletching right after that).

This is pointless, from what is KBot to reflection vs. BCEL to BCEL is detectable to SRL scripts getting you banned… The point I was trying to make is that BCEL is not detectable in itself.

Sure it could be. They use reflection to gather information about fields and methods and send that information to the server, and it is very plausible that they could discover injected class members in that way.

Oh. Do you think Jagex actually does though? What I don't understand is why wouldn't they just immediately ban anyone detected to be using BCEL, which is why I'm having a hard time believing that BCEL in itself is detectable..

EDIT: Also, if this were true, why would the Devs of RSBot and KBot make the bots if they could be so easily combated?

Here's a partially refactored version of the method (in the current client) that sends that information to the server. I'll see if I can work on it some more later, but I have to go right now.

Maybe it isn't like "Oh hey they are using a bot", but it takes them time to look through the patterns and decide that they are using BCEL. The still makes it detectable, but not instantly.

Which would mean that, in essence, it is no different maybe not even more effective from Jagex trying to detect SRL's botty patterns, no?

You don't click the logout button, you just time out and your break patterns are pretty much the same over and over.
Also it fits the break patterns of other banned bots.

It means it checks for if the client was changed, and sends it to a server, there for making bcel instaban if they would put 3 minutes of work into it.

It's hard to answer that question in one post sorry.

SCAR scripts are all open, as is SRL, and Simba's all open, and so if you know much about scripting, it's possible to fix bugs at updates, change ANYTHING to be specifically to your liking, and make scripts faster by changing the mouse speed, waits, etc. :) Also, you can always make whatever you want with SCAR/SRL/Simba.

itSchRis917

I think a lot of people here script for the challenge. I still even refrain from using reflection in SIMBA, because then it would be too easy. :P
