cycrosism for scripters

He has made 4 good scripts:

Including the visionary powerbanker:

Please don't vote no based on your opinions on his attitude, I have spoken to him today and he has some fairly serious RL issues. Not only is this deserved, it would also be a big morale booster to him and would make him feel much more appreciated here and more mature - one step closer to being "one of the boys". He was also quite upset at the lack of progress reports after all the work he put in to his powerbanker, which is a pretty much revolutionary idea, after heaps of people said they would be interested in it, and the concept alone is deserving of a scripters cup imo. Thinking outside the box etc.

Yes, he's changed a lot since he used to annoy everyone on IRC. Nice to see the progress he's made.

He's death annoying at times.
But if you say that he got problems at home, or whatever, then I trust your judgement.

Yes.

Hold on, 2 yeses at poll? lol.

I'm not sure about scripters. Those scripts don't really strike me as being worthy of a scripters cup. He is pretty helpful on IRC though, I always see him trying to help out new members or people having trouble getting started with SRL and SCAR. I think a Helpers Bear might be a bit more appropriate.

No, I don't believe he is skilled enough to get a Scripters Cup.
Claw; don't let your feelings for someone effect your judgement. He scripts aren't really worthy of one. I'm pretty sure we can think of at least 10 people who deserve a scripters cup more than he does.
Yes, he may need it in real life, and yes, it would be nice if he got some support, but it isn't fair, at all.

I am sure everyone likes getting a cup, but we don't go and start granting cups to everyone, now do we?
I may look harsh, but I really don't think cups should be handed out because someone "needs" support.

Perhaps a different cup, but not Scripters.

I see what you mean, but I'm not really letting my feelings cloud my judgement, just stating the fact that it would help him out. I was actually thinking about this when looking through his powerbanker the other day, a conversation I had with him today prompted me to post it. It really is a good idea and he executed it well.

I feel the cup is not just about the scripters ability, but their ideas for scripts. The powerbanker is quite a good idea.

I agree with the claw, after all, most of a script depends on the creativity of his maker. He definitely thought well out of the box, and although i had seen this idea thrown around before he actually did it, and for what he wanted to do he did it well.

But the execution of the idea isn't too grand. I still say Helper's Bear.

I'm fine with any cups generally as long as its more than 10 votes and 75%+ yes… It's stupid if someone gets a cup because a poll ends 2-1…

Yeah but its even stupider for a thread to have nearly 70 views like this one and only 5 votes. We can't force people to vote so if they don't theres not much we can do

Keep in mind that it views++ each time anyone reads the thread; even if that person voted. So we don't know if majority of people who read the thread voted or not. But I do agree that we should be getting a higher turn-out of votes…

I'll be voting after I look through his scripts.

Edit: I voted yes. Can somebody change it to a no please?
