Hi,

Could the mods/admins PLEASE do something about the growing number of people who are trying to apply without scripts, like on the applying page add a hint or something that says (If you do not have a script you are not permitted to apply until you make one) or something?

Just gets kind of annoying at the amount of people who are applying without scripts - I know they get locked and everything but it won't harm anyone (or anything) by adding a little comment on the applying page

but nothing will stop people from typing random stuff just to post a app

maybe have to attach a .scar file but then that would make it harder for people to look at the script

great thread, sums up everything needed to bad people arent reading it, maybe when people apply they are lined to that before writing their application?

It takes like 3 seconds of your time to look at an app without a script. There's no point to even vote as your "no" won't matter as the staff will close the thread anyway as the person didn't post a script.. Just check the app, see that there's no script, go back. Not a big deal.

But GoF, by just doing that the person doesn't realise what the reason of SRL Members is and might be likely to leave/reapply. If they knew the purpose of SRL, I bet most wouldnt apply without a script.

There's people who will always fail to read, no matter how many times it is written in big red letters. It's not a big issue, dealt with easily enough, so not really a reason to make a big deal.

Like I've always told people: one or two people post about how you need to apply with a working SRL script to become members and link them to a couple stickies in the SRL FAQ's or Tuts section. Everyone else just report the post or ignore it. Don't everyone start repeating what someone else has said or go and flame them. That just makes you look like an idiot.
