ok bit of a rant just wanting some 3rd party point of views. Ill start with a bit of a story to get things rolling
Ok throughout my teenage years i hit puberty and found out about girls lmao, anyway hooking up was the big thing and i did it with a lot of girls i think about 12 from memory im 19 now. anway first time i had sex was with a random when i was 16 never saw her again which i sort of regret but dont. anway when i was 17 i had my first real relationship which lasted 14 months and it was great i was madly in love and have a lot of fond memories from that time. anyway it obviously ended, i'm at uni now my first year. Their is a lot of drinking an partying ALOT it is not hard to get a one night stand. Anway iv been mulling it over for about 6 months now and i really dont know if i want another relationship the last one was good while it lasted but was so shit when it ended plus i havn't really felt the same way about another girl since that relationship. I'm pretty confused i dont want to bounce from one relationship to another i dont see the point i rather stay single an just have one night stands but being in a proper relationship is so much better in my expierence?so stay single or not? what do you guys think what have you guys done?
a few personal stories would be good :D

i say, if there isnt anyone you know that you would like to be in a relationship with, then dont seek one out. Imo dateing for the sake of being in a relationship is realy shallow, and your either gonna hurt yourself or your partner. Realy, if you dont want a good deep relationship, just go for one night stands. Theres nothing wrong with saying: Hey im not ready for commitment but i still need to hit.
Stay single till you find a girl you realy think you could last with ;D

Well I agree with "Lancerawks aka Lance" for the most part. I however look down upon one night stands, I find it dirty. But hey, Your life mate, I'm not going to tell you what to like.
Generally from what I've read. I think it'd be best if you just flew solo. The bonus is you can spend more on your needs. That's probably one thing you should do before settling down, go see the world.
I personally don't want a serious relationship. Sometimes, I think if I am ever going to find someone or if I want to stay single. But for the most part, I think I'll ride out my years fulfilling that list of things to do before I die ;)

I never really dated much. I dated one girl in high school for about 9 months, and we just kind of drifted apart at the end.
I didn't date much for several years through college, but I was long distance friends with one girl that I knew from high school.
She had moved away to go to a different college, and after she got a 2 year degree she moved back home. At that point I didn't really know what to do because I was like 21 and I didn't want to get married or anything, but she asked me out for dinner on my birthday, and it was kind of like a "date". At the end of it, I didn't know what to do, because we had known each other for like 5 years already, and I knew that we would be compatible together, but I wasn't "in love" with here or anything, didn't want to risk losing her as a friend if we dated and broke up, and felt too young to get in a serious relationship. After a couple of awkward weeks I decided that I would stop worrying about all of that and just enjoy spending time with her. We got engaged 6 months later, and married just before I turned 23, and it's been great.
I think a marriage is the single most important decision you can make in life. It will determine more of your happiness than any other. Everyone should prepare themselves for such a monumental decision, regardless of whether they're 15 or 20 or 30. Part of that preparation is determining what you want in a spouse. One of the benefits of dating is finding out more about yourself, and about what you like in others. But it can be destructive over a longer term as well, if you engage in activities that disgrace yourself or those you are with.
The downside to starting physical relationships so early is that it tends to accelerate the relationship as well. You might date someone that would be great for you, but might end up driving them away because the relationship has gone so far that they start to expect you to make serious commitments to them, when you're not ready to do so. It's better to start slow, because then you can allow the relationship to develop slowly without so much pressure.

dude u seem pretty knowledgble about this sort of thing.I can see your point though you cant really sort of predict the future with these things they just happen. i definitly agree with the physical thing you were saying about relationships as soon as you sleep with someone and keep sleeping with them you can't help get attached. At this point in time though your right i do feel like doing my own thing and i really don't think anyone knows who they are or what they like till they are older and it was my first girlfriend making the expierence probably a lot better than it really was becuase it was the first time i had expierenced it :D cheers for the advice any more would be greatly appreciated even if it is offtopic :D

My last gf was a bitch. Man this girl led me on for 2 years only to date me for a month then dump me, accuse me of threatening to kill her, then try and destroy my reputation amongst people at school.
Don't date a whore unless you're prepared for anything including a restraining order or HIV, I learned that the hard way :(
