Title says it, we're screwed. A Dutch judge came to the conclusion that The Pirate Bay is illegal, and TPB has to ban all the Dutch users.
Fuck Holland. Seriously.

Not surprising to say the least.
To bad that judge seems to fail to grasp how P2P networks work.

Anyways I read it and we're fucked :p.
Hopefully they aren't going to start a action that they are going to mail all the dutch isp's that they must mail their customers with a fine that they are going to pay if they don't stop download/uploading directly.
Understand^?

Doesn't matter.
Of course it matters, internet censorship is a very bad thing…although lol at the fact its holland doing this
They may just block the link itself and not the tracker, all ya gotta do is get a friend to find a good .torrent for you and send it to you and you've bypassed teh Dutch systems. lol

Or kill all politicians responsible. You'd be doing the world a favor.

If there's code, there's a way. Laws have little effect on the outcomes of what occurs on the internet. If they start making torrents illegal, then people will switch to darknets. And once those are illegal, they will switch to yet another option.

or use a proxy.
You can proxy easily to get the torrents, but proxying the tracker is a different thing. It makes the torrents go slower than fat crap going through a strainer.

Isn't the real final decision though, they are probably taking the case to a higher level (donno the real term).

Appeal the case :p Still, I thought they had to shut it down immediately, until the appeal has been approved?
