Hey fellow SRL Members. I am writing this thread because I need input and help for a new runescape account that I am currently making.

1. I want the account to be pure.
2. What is the best type of Low level, medium level and High level pure to have? (In the end I would want to max out and then probably have defence)
3. Best Money Making Metods to use on pures?

well u should get 40 attack and high str then come pking with me


as for money run pures chicken killer and pick up feathers ive made 200k using it

ya sure go fro range i was gonna get range in a little then maybe mage since its 1 more combat lvl for 99

own 4 skill, for low level f2p pkilling i would recommend mage pure because 59 magic you can hit pretty hard at your level but hp is a bit low

also range/str pure is pretty good thats about all i can think of

as for making money f2p i made some money and trained mage by telegrabbing zammy wines but i cant seem to sell atm so its not really worth it, chickens are ok to train on… i trained range therewith bronze bolts and had my script pickup feathers so it made back the money i lost by not picking up bolts…. also training on cows is ok


thats really all i can think of, the goals for my pure now is 40 att 80 str 80 range 80 mage maybe and i might get 60 att but not to sure yet

ill go pking with u once i get my lvls that high lol i have 41 attack 40 def 68 stregth but im working on a legit pure (not making it legit) my goals are 40 attack high str, range,m mage

whats so good about being a tank? cos my account with 40 att 78 str 77 range i was thinking about training def but not to sure about the benifits compared to being pure

Nah, If your pure you should stay pure. With tanks you can do stuff like bandos etc so you have more options and it is more like a main. Also you have more area's you can train when you have defence and it is less costly.

But the advantages of pures are endless. Theyre sick when they max out and everyone then makes one thinking they will max out lmao

fair enough, i think i will get really high str my goal atm is 80 str and range, atm i nearly there but of course i will want 99 str range so hopefully i will get that pk for a while then if i get bored of that i will tank

what def level would be good?

Pures look amazing maxed out though. Even if you get 99 Mage it still looks great!

40 f2p - Rune and Dhide but don't forget Dragon slayer
70 P2p - Barrows armour of course and various others. There isnt much that you can't wear at this level

i will give it a go, hopefully get a 99 in something =]

atm its a f2p pure but i have 21 days left of member so im training a fair bit and making some money, i have about 7 mill not to sure how much i will need for f2p

im autoing at pest control atm its pretty good xp, any ideas what else i could do? i have heard of soul wars but didnt that get updated so the xp isnt as good?

if i do become a tank i will do dragon slayer with 1 def just to make sure i dont end up with a def greater than 40 =]

Great! Pest Control is best - I played soul wars and the games are like 20 mins and if you lose its really not worth the effort.

Another place alot of pures train is Rock Crabs :P

Can I ask what script your using for pest control? :P

im using antis and cnrs sports….. i started off using antiis but didnt really like how it just stays with the knight and cnr's is good cos it runs around a bit, so i thought that using them both would not be like a bot

Are you going to make it p2p or f2p?

If you are going to make it a member, I don't recommend only getting 40 strength, and range is almost a must, unless you're pro at rushing. :)

I have a level three named F A K A W I, if you want it. :)

Thats a pretty cool name but i got one now :) Currently working on some money making!

This is my plan:

1. 60 wc, fm, fish, cook, mining.
2. 59 Mage.
3. 60 Range.

Then see how it goes from there. I'll probably get members because I always do >.<

If you're getting members, I really think you should get attack/strength up, because it may be hard to finish kills with only range, and by the way, with that range and mage you aren't going to be a very high combat level, and imo pk'ing at lower levels (20-40) isn't as fun.

I suggest doing something like:

50/60 att 60/70 str
~70 range
~70 magic
31 prayer, if you want it

On BH worlds, melee-only pures are crippled.
D Scim is the item they would keep in the +1 item worlds, but they have no other items to amount to 75k with.

I agree with all of what you said. However, I've noticed that people tend to stay away from/try not to fight rangers with at least 40 defence.

I used to have a pure ~ Big Bel0w ~ and i used to stay away from anything over 30 def

erm 60 att/76 str/1 def/43 pray/ 60 mage/44 range =/ Kinda bad

I had a tank (let a friend have it due to boredom) that I had some decent stats on (90+ Range, 90+ Mage, 80 Str, 60 Attack, 70 Def) and pures always ran from me. Of course, at that level, the pures were normally level 99 str + 99 HP, etc.

They still had a hard time landing a hit on me (hitting 3 0's to hit an 8 is discouraging.) while I was sapping their HP with Rune Knives (constant 7-13, with rare 15+'s thrown at a faster pace than one can eat sharks). They stood very little chance of winning, quite obviously, so they always ran.

The awesomeness of Range Tanks, though, is you can annihilate mains. If you bring a Rune C'bow with DStone bolts, you'll be hitting very well. The mains… not so much. ;)

If you want to fight other pures, though, the set-up is as I stated before. Wear the following while PKing:
Ghost top
Black d'hide chaps
Rune knives/MSB + rune arrows, with a G Maul or C'Bow+DStone (or Diamond) bolts for the KO weapon
Ava's Accumulator
Black d'hide Vambs
Glory/Power Ammy
Ghostly Hood
Ghostly boots
etc.

The melee pures will probably bring an expensive KO weapon with their D Scim because their Scim and DDS will be forfeit otherwise. Count on them having anything from a Great Axe to an AGS for the KO.

Mage pures are easy to beat, you're a ranger and have high Magic yourself. You win.

Other rangers can be difficult, depending on their range level. However, I found that some pures with 95-99 Range gave me a bit of trouble when I was pking with 40 def + 75ish Range, so don't back down if faced by someone your combat level with Red D'hide and 40 defense. ;)

Ok, well I will consider all this. I may just make my pure for as long as I can stand it and then decide whether I wanna make a tank.

Started a Pker myself. Going for the Defence Pure / Range Hybrid

Basically
Attack - 40
Str - 60
Def - 1 (accidently leveld him to 2) lol
Range - 50+
Magic - 37 (Teleports)

Should be around combat level 50. Will try him out and see what happens. Should KO nicely with rune 2h.

Money? Ive used feathers got 400k cash atm.
