This ever happen to you?

While testing my AIO Miner, one of the silver rocks in the AlKharid mine became 'exhausted' (There was a long NPC Chat Text that I didn't screeny :\). I've never heard of anything like this happening, has it ever happened to you?

Weird thing is, the ID of an Active rock is placed on it, thus if you're running a reflection script that mines that rock, it will continually mouse over it…

EDIT: http://runescape.wikia.com/wiki/Exhausted_silver_ore - Wow, what's the point of it -.-

Edited with an explanation. It seems completely pointless though…Unless it was made to combat unaware botters.

Maybe it's something for a quest (in the future)?

Possible, but unlikely. That article originated a year ago.

Pretty lame and unreliable attempt if it is, in my opinion.

Just check the tile that it's on. If you try to mine it once it won't look bot-like. :)

The scripting isn't a problem. I just removed the Rock's info from my RockArray :p I was just bringing up the concept of this.

Well, like you said, it originated a year ago. If it was a problem for us, it probably would've been discussed already. Nice find, though. :)

I think it's to give low level miners a change of getting some silver ore in busy worlds. Reading the Wiki I see it its just that one silver rock where this can happen, so just adjust your bots if they mine in Al kharid I ques?

A way to combat that is
1) Count color() or some way of id that the chat box has in it.
2) Make a black list, and if that rock id is in the black list, skip it, and continue to the next rock
3) Profit?!

-.- Guys this is super simple to avoid, that's not why I made the thread. At first I made it because I didn't understand what it was (I thought it might have been something new), then I found the site explaining it.
