Changing to Dev repository

I see this asked to often, so I'm just going to make a quick short little tutorial on how to switch. If you have a folder on your desktop called SRL or Reflection, right click it, you should see something similiar to this:

Click on SVN Checkout. If you are trying to get SRL Dev Repository then follow instructions under the 1, if you are trying to get the Reflection Dev Repository then follow the instructions under the 2.

1) SRL Dev Repo

after clicking SVN Checkout from right clicking the SRL folder, you should see this:

In the URL Repository, delete what you have in there, since it's not the Dev one, and copy this and paste it in there:

http://www.villavu.com/repositories/srl-opendev

Now in the checkout directory, you put the file path, for me it'd be:

C:\Desktop\Dev SRL Reflection\SRL

if you don't know what it is, just right click the folder, go to properties at the bottom and it's the file at location, just after the location, add \SRL

so if it was C:\Desktop

you'd put: C:\Desktop\SRL

Make sure head revision is checked off, then hit ok. You now have SRL Dev Repository.

*NOTE* It is the Dev Repository, so keep in mind, it can get unstable at times, but it will be the most updated, so before you switch, know that it can get unstable.

2) Reflection Dev Repo

For the Reflection Dev, you will do all the same except for the checkout directory, it'll be the location then \Reflection. So if your location for reflection is:

C:\Desktop\Dev SRL Reflection\srl\SRL

then you'd put:

C:\Users\James\Desktop\Dev SRL Reflection\srl\SRL\Reflection

so you delete the url repository, and checkout directory, add where you're going to checkout, then for the url repository you will put:

http://scardevreflection.googlecode.com/svn/trunk

make sure the head revision is checked off, then hit ok, and you now have the Dev Reflection.

Happy autoing, if you have any questions just post here, sorry if anything is unclear.

EDIT: I think I should mention, I made this tut on vista, if you don't have vista, (should work for xp also, doing it exactly as shown) just PM me and I will help you.

Thanks for the tut, I was wondering why I couldn't get SRL up to date but this method works. Apparently just going to the directory and clicking SVN update for the SRL and Reflection folder isn't enough :S

Your using the reflection smart. Dont replace the normal one with the reflection one when you download reflection, as reflection is broken atm.

there's a reflection smart and a non-reflection smart? what are you talking bout? I never heard of that.

EDIT: Try replacing your Embedded_SMART.dll with the one I've attatched. It's only in a .rar because I got an error when trying to attatch it as a .dll, it's not one of the valid file extensions :p

if that doesn't work, then I'm not really sure why you're getting that error, since you've already deleted SCAR/SRL and redid it.

yea thats what i ment, the .dll smart for the reflection plugins messes up smart cause reflections broken.
