OK, this is a basic but genius method to keep you parents or anyone from seeing some "sensitive" files on your computer you "may" not be allowed to look at;) This guide is mainly for people who have parents or guardians who like to check up on what they have on their computer.

First of say you had some images saved on your computer that you didnt particularly want you parents to see but your computer was left on all day whilst you were at school because you found a cool new ess miner script you were testing. you usually would have logged out so someone would need a password to get in. This day you happened to stay logged in your mum decides to go snooping your files.

This is how you should hide your files.

Folder>folder>sensitive files

Now you might be thinking. how can 2 folders stop someone from viewing the sensitive files. well you must first make a simple but ingenious .bat file.

in the

Folder>Folder

Make a new notepad document. all you have to put in it is

shutdown -c

Go File>save as

Go to the scroll down menu that says

Save as type:

and choose "all files"

And save it as Porn.bat

Now you and i both kno its not porn however the person snooping on ur comp will be immediately attracted to the file so they can get some evidence to what you have been up to.. Now your thinking… what does this file do?

Simple, when its opened in immediately logs off your account on the computer. So before anyone could get to the sensitive files your account is logged off and once again under password protection.

Thats it, Simple as that!

lol'd a bit. reminds me of making fake IE icon on desktop and making it say virus virus etc. and has timer to shut down PC, dont remember exactly how to do it though, i think the tutorial is somewhere around here.. but it was still a good way to keep people from looking at what youve looked at on the interwebs.

pretty funny…but I think naming it porn is a bad idea…is there anyway to hide the .bat as a folder option? So that if you just click the folder, it opens the bat, but if you right click and do something you can get into the folder around the bat?

That'd be the best….or you can just be old enough to not live with your parents :p

also, whats so bad about pron :P?… Besides the hate and pain that often included in the production…

If you want real safety, get True Crypt and create a file box :D .. Mount it when you need it, dont forget to dismount though xD…

why not just get password protected folder :)? simple!

You can also hide text files by saving them as .CMD files. When your parents click on them a CMD screen flashes for a second, but if you right click on the file and press edit you can read it ;)

Good for semi-embarassing stories you don't want your family to read :p

it's supposesd to log you out.

It only makes sense, when your account got a pass though :P

well it didnt do anything :P lol oh well i dont realy need it xD Its just fun to have on your desktop labled "Porn" for anyone who happens to go on my computer. lol

Workaround:
Navigate in the CMD.

cd FileName doesn't trigger the .bat file. Also, if it is autoplay (I'm assuming it is), then they can right-click it and choose "explore".
