SRL Archive - Banned from RS

my friend told me he got banned a while ago, I realized I saw his account back on, and not his new one, so I said to him that I thought he was perm banned he told me it was only a 15 day ban. I said I never heard of a 15 day one, only 10 and perms, so I asked what it was for, he said autoing, he used a mouse recorded for alching. haha, well I told him not to use mouse recorders it obvious, and asked if he wanted a better program, he said no, he doesn't wanna get banned again, so I didn't show him srl, but my point of this thread, I thought macroing was perm bans now… I guess not? maybe it was just to scare people. And apparently it's not 10 day bans anymore, it's 15. By the way, he is a member so it might still be P2P gets a warning plus 15 day ban, and F2P gets perm first time, or maybe F2P will get 15 day ban first time, I don't know. Just decided to let everyone know that my friend got banned and it wasn't perm for autoing, I was surprised.

I got banned ~3 weeks ago, perm on a 9 year old P2P account.

you're 9? well I don't think RS knows ages, and even if they did, I don't think that's a factor between perm and only a few days. :p

My account was 9 years old. By mentioning the age I'm just saying that they haven't started giving 10/15 day bans to all P2Pers, they probably only do so in special cases.

They said awhile ago they won't tolerate it at all.

Maybe your friend just got lucky, personally I've had at least 5 or 6 accounts banned, a couple of them begin members and I'm NEVER gotten a temporary ban. I know people that have had the same account banned 10 times for macroing.

I don't know what it is, but it seems Jagex doesn't like me. XD But then again, I've gotten 99 Woodcutting and 85 Mining on my main all autoing. :D

It's good to know if they're actually giving out temporary bans again, I definitely thought they were going on a zero tolerance policy.

it's probably because he was just using a mouse recorder. They figure he isn't a hard core macro-er yet, so if they slap him hard now, when he is just getting started, it'll break his spirit and he'll be too scared to macro again.

I mean, it's pretty obvious that you're REALLY new to macroing if you just use a mouse recorder.

I've been 15 day banned 3 times now on the same account xD

i got a 10 day ban on my testing f2p account and now i ahve him back but he failed a random which isnt good

I've never had a problem with failing randoms..because even when I played legit I would X when a random came that I didnt wanna solve :P

I always think about failing randoms on my main account, just to get them more often so I get more genie lamps, but I never do, my main only gets a random like once a week, sometimes it'll come a little more often but rarely, it's legit account. And Brain you could be right, but then again, do you really think they review everyone's auto that they used before perm banning?
