I heard a rumour that runescape has been hacked again, and the hackers are spawning items all round runescape.
I will get some more info on this when i can.

You know last time they got hacked, the claws were like 100k and stuff?
Well apparently like an hour ago the same hacker came back and RS was down, and a guy was spawning items.
Was it down?

It wouldn't surprise me if they were being hacked?

They recently made changes to PVP correct? And it is currently only the PVP worlds down?

Think… why are they down…? PVP exploit??

^What I gather from info I've seen so far. Dunno full extent of the world outages. Just PVP AFAIK, someone let me know :p

PvP exploit sounds good.

If Jagex was hacked, it would be by a group of outraged PvPers, but I would be surprised if they were able to do anything. Most of the BHers who complained about this update on the forums could hardly spell and/or make a decent argument. :/

We have pinpointed the world crashes to a problem with one of our ISP's in America.

We are working with them as fast as we can to resume normal service.

No offense, but it's a little hard to believe that Jagex got hacked, and the hackers are spawning items around RS. Would they not have a ridiculous amount of security?

I think it was about 6 months ago the first time.
They made official news statement that they had a "Security Breach"

Lol wow, didn't know that at all. :duh: I still fine it hard to believe, lol you would think they would increase their security a lot since the first time they got hacked.

Well, that's what they said it was. It's up to you whether or not you believe that they're telling the truth.

Why a hacker should want to hack RS!?! To spawn items… I thought they only hack state instance sites, why will they waste their time hacking RuneScape :spongebob:

Even if someone did hack rs that would be pretty cool I mean jagex should get some good f**king security then

If RS gets hacked, it's probs me messing around with sockets. I managed to send a few packets to RS. Too bad nothing happened except me getting logged out.

That wasnt a hack, silly. That was the fally massacre. It was a glitch.

I very much doubt anyone can "hack" runescape. Exploiting is a different story.

I didnt notice any down on UK servers at least.

EDIT: But as far as I can remember the song is removed from the video due to copyright things. I have watched it last a LONG time ago though.
