Well when you have to do track recordings with teen girls who don't really have any voice training at all and sing off key and try to do fancy crap with their voice they really aren't ready for… Then tell me you still hate autotuning :p But yes it should be used in moderation… :norris:

If you can't make a sound with your voice then you dont deserve to be recognized for it.

For all of you who keeps saying autotone fails, I challenge you to do recordings for people who sing lightly off key and try to manually adjust it. Its not fun, so autotone = win, just the way the rapers use it = fail. But over all = win

hmm, I can agree with that a little more. I do vocals in a band though…I have been to really nice studios but never used autotone. Everything sounded good though. It was all put on a CD and sold off our myspace. It's really not necessary (from what I have seen) unless you really aren't very good. Who knows, but the way it is used it is used in so called "rap" these days is just ridiculous.

You won't need it, the recording and mixing engineers use it not the artists.
Most mixing software has it built it… ProTools, Reason, Garage Band, etc all have it built in.
