Jagex's Paranoia

Well After a long time of playing I think Jagex is finally going crazy. First off with their new 'Perfect' ban system. Apparently after reading threads and appeals more and more Human players are being banned than SRL-SCAR users. Jagex seems to be banning for anything that leads to botting IE clicking 10 times one spot.

Paranoia much? Not to mention the color changes and UI changes with the update. Most likely not at all to improve game. Probably used to stop autoing. Hell there was even a color change that is obvious. The chicken color is now the same as the axe handle.

They will go off the Deep end soon and might even ruin the game.

Tbh the only people that are going to get banned is the people who bot 18 - 24 hours a day. Bot smart and never get banned.

And that for sure has a lot to do with that this thread is about…

Ontopic, I think that the game has already been ruined to a certain point, and I agree with you, I think it will be ruined even more.
Runescape –> ruinscape.

Honestly I was pissed about the trade limit and the no pk update when they both first came up. I think Jagex wants to have a perfect game but thats not going to be able to be accomplished.

i agree with ethien. in that the game was messed up when the trade limit was put in place, i mean if i have gotten rich why can i not share my wealth, i think r.s should have an account sharing system like that of maple story or guild wars.

Also one more thing that I forgot to add on to. The cover ups. Everything that was used to take down auto-ers so far also had some sort of cover up like a mini-game or new content.
Seems like the past 20 updates had to be cover ups.

yeah runescape was ruined when pking was taken out and the GE was established. Though you realy cant blame them, this is just them desperatly grasping at a way to keep our numbers down. if it wasnt for botters, runescape would have never changed into what it is now.

Edit: funney isnt it? the comunity of macroers has done more to shape the game than they have themselves. we are so running this boat :]

I still remember when they removed the cooking pot from the farmhouse at the lumby chicken pen.

I would guess that 99% of people didn't even know it was there, but my Chickenkiller was using it to cook raw chickens. I've always thought that change was specifically made because of my script, but who knows? I can't figure out any other reason for doing it, since they didn't use the space for anything at all.

Lol, i've noticed similar changes that seemed to be focused on a couple of my scripts as well. Sad really…

You seriously think they would invest SO much time into actually creating a completely new minigame to simply screw over macroing community with simple color changes? You think past 20 updates have been targeted against macroers?

I think you're the one paranoid buddy, because that's just insane, remember that macroing community isn't the only community that plays runescape.

And you know what, so what they're trying to stop macroing, what's wrong with that? Macroers ruin the potential money legit players could be earning due to the simple fact that they flood the market with goods which brings their price down.

If you're saddened by this, quit, not like they have you on a leash.

Feroc1ty, seeing from your obvious lack of experience and acknowledgement of the botting communities' part in the game, I would advice you to be quiet and listen to people who actually have something to say. Jagex has made updates that are obviously made to give botting communities trouble, they haven't tried to hide it or anything. A fine example is how a year ago or something of that kind, they moved one single pixel of the bank interface, which happened to be the one we used for handling banking.

What's your point? You want them to encourage macroing?

I never said that, and neither did I say that they shouldn't do efforts to make macroing hard, not that I want us being wiped out, but I just wanted to show you that they do updates that are specifically meant for giving botters trouble…

Yeah I remember that, One pixel they changed for the BankScreen as it used a FindText - gave everyone trouble :p

No. I'm extremely disappointed that people still think like that. I autoed non stop from 19-70 mage with a 10 line script and I didn't get banned. You can auto smart and auto for extreme periods of times. -.-

His point is: JaGeX is making updates just for making botting harder. No one except the people who used macros noticed it.
