SRL Archive - Banned from RS

Hello guys, its a sad day when you find out you get banned :(

My 77 Woodcutter was banned today (he also had a bunch of other skills in the 50s) and I was wondering what are the best chances of getting my guy unbanned. I haven't sent in any appeals yet and I would like some advice from you guys.

Here are some facts that seem important and relevant to the ban:

I botted from my own IP address so I don't think I can tell them someone else had my account.

I used mostly Zephyr's Yew Gatherer, but I never abused any bots really. The MOST I played in one day on the account was 5 hours. With every 5 hours of botting I would at least play about 1 hour for real.

Once my bot got stuck on a box reward and tried to open it for 2 hours.

I always wore really nooby gear that so to fit in and not look bottish

My autoresponder was pretty good with custom responses that said stuff like hhhhhh asdklhgfh and other things noobs would say.

I left my username in one of the proggys here BIG MISTAKE :p I removed it today but that was way too late.

I had Villavu forums up a lot of the time while I was botting and I always used


So that's about yet and I'm trying to get this guy unbanned because he had over 3M and a awesome username :D If you guys could help me unban him I'll be like OMG TY!

Super_Shwab huh? runescape sigs are so dumb on an autoing site.

Yea I have to say that his bot his impressive but however I was banned by it, no bot is perfect and I lay no blame on him. :P

However I am banned and I'd like to get unbanned, so NEED HELP :P

EDIT: I also here that chances of getting unbanned are quite low, I should use a army from now on

Yes I thought so too. I will have trouble explaining how I logged out of randoms and logged in again to solve them or how I ALWAYS checked the jukebox when in a random.

I am thinking along the lines of

I am a hot Mexican chikc but not good very at English. I don't not get randoms very well so I logout and get my cousin to help me solve random. I love this game very much and I work on it a lot and I hate to be banned for mistake.

Not sure if that would work, doubt it. I hope Mods love hot mexican chicks.

lol. I don't think there really is a secret formula, you just gotta get lucky.

BUT MEXICAN CHICKS! Also I heard after 12 months all bans are lifted? I don't know if this applies to macroing of if Jagex even CHECKS APPEALS. Jagex customer support sucks.


EDIT: Do you guys think that SMART kinda detectable? It is a client for Runescape and Jagex might be able to detect that…

Was surfing Runescape forums… The shit the Mods have to say are just frankly, stupid

Due to our rather strong policy against macroing, any macroing offences is checked and double checked by a human member of staff. If we issue somebody with a ban for macroing, we are 100% confident that the player was breaking the rules.

SCAR does not modify the program in anyway so there is not 100% way to be sure that you are a bot.

smartr is not detectable cause it doesn't modify the client at alll to jagex they just see you opening up a normla runescape screen

Be really conserned about your account and JaGex will be a bit easier on you and maybe give you a last chance if they still give those out or unban you.

the main reason u prolly got banned…. the randoms and the autoresponder.. and to get u unbanned.. im sorry but truthfully i dont think ur gona get it back.. just try to be nice to jagex..

thats ur problem, ur script prolly kept saying ggggggggggg, and people would ask whats with u? and u wouldnt say anything except hhhdfhdfjhf?dgd, thats an INSTANT give away, like for example i was fishing sharks earlier and i saw this bot(prolly rsbot) responding "Reported" for everytime someone had an ***** when they typed, and they kept saying that over and over… imo autoresponders arent smart and ready enough to use yet

I had over 40 different different autoresponds, it looked pretty authentic… TBH I think a autoresponder is way better than nothing.

Anyways I sent a appeal saying that my account was used by my cousin while I was on vacation and I was declined…

Anyone know what is the time period when you can send another appeal?

I Think smart(alternative clients) are detectable!.

When you use smart, you automaticly dont download the advertisement anymore, and that is detectable.

yeah i reported some auto responders because its way to obiovious when you type hello they type hi in less the a sec i think its way to obvious

#1. The ads are from google. #2. Jagex can't look if googles ads are displayed. #3. Even so, people can have ad blockers, if jagex banned them for that, that would be sad.

yep same with me, i will never use an autoresponder because the scripting technology we have now for autoresponding is very very detectable and really obvious

Ah no, I was so confident my autoresponder was going to save me… But isn't it equally suspicious of a level 40 who never talks when he is cutting yews? Seems like therer is no easy answer to not look like a bot.

But also I've seen people even try to have conversations with me, and my autoresponder kinda works… They got really suckered in by the responder.

Not really. I hardly ever talk when I'm training legit. I generally turn my public chat off while I'm doing so, to prevent people bothering me.

It's easier to tell if someone is using an autoresponder (limited number of responses) than if someone has their chat turned off or aren't paying attention.
