say a full on nuclear war broke out between the USA and north korea. who do you think would win, how long do you think the war would be, why?

i think USA Would win in a short amount of time just because of how many nukes we have.

Who would win? Neither. How long? A week maximum. Why? It does not matter how many nuclear bombs you have, does it really matter if you have 10 000 or 100? Not really, everything in a certain area is going to die regardless.

You have no idea what you are talking about. One, nuclear winter effects the entire world. You can not drive away from it. Two, nuclear weapons are deployed in ways that make it impossible to stop them. Three, Korea wouldn't give a flying rats ass what coast you are on. They are going to be hitting key targets like the NYSE and important military buildings. Then they would hit every capital city.

And Korea would NOT need a lot of nuclear bombs to fuck everyone over, they wouldn't even have to hit USA.

China's pissed, Japan is pissed, South Korea's scared shitless, and America is looking for another war to fit into the idea that war equals a way out of a depression that we seem to be headed toward (ignoring recent history regarding wars and financial ruin). I don't see how North Korea really thinks this is a good idea since it's basically suicide.

This kind of crap isn't near WWII, lrn2read.
If something were to happen like WWII again, seeing that the UK was the main opponent of the Nazi Regime, and approximatly 17.x% of the UK's population is out of work, there is no way anything like WWII could happen again. It would be disasterous. UK doesn't have "the Build" for say, that it did during the 30's, and 40's.

North Korea couldnt hit anything further than Hawaii if they wanted to.

I dont really see that this is a huge deal. As long as US isnt the one to start shooting off bombs, US wont be in the wrong, and i doubt other countries will try them. The only ones with the amount to acutally try to stand up to US in nuclear power is Russia.

Also, my hometown's military base controls over 200 nuclear missiles throughout Montana. So it is pretty much a key target in the event of nuclear war. :(

If N Korea wants to bomb usa.. they would probably take it right up to the cost with a sub and then fire it so that the US army wouldnt even have a chance to react. there would be no blowing it out of the sky even if that were posible. I dont see why the states cant just send in assasins. It sounds kinda silly like 007 style but realy, how could you posibly attack N Korea any other way? if you tried to invade them with your army they would just start nukeing the states. It just seems like sending in some "secrit agents" which im sure they do have, to assasinate the N Korea king and high military powers would be the smartest thing to do.

Lol. For America and N Korea to go that far, North Korea's missiles need to reach hawaii first. Launching rockets and having them fall in to the water between Korea and japan just doesnt cut it :/.

I don't think anyone deserves weapons of mass destructions. Who should have the decision to kill so many people? Politicians should not have the power to say, "I think I'll kill 10000 people today."

From the comments people are sharing, I think people are very uninformed as to the state how advanced North Korea is with nuclear weapons. And as to how many nukes other countries have(with the exception of Russia, who is only second to US).

And finally, i dont think people realize that all nukes are not created equal. The ones that N Korea has are a huge amount smaller (in terms of power) than what US is dealing with. All of theirs combined (all 10 of them) are probably something like one of US's.

Yeah, because Capitalism is a tried and tested successful way of doing things. N Korea arent stupid enough to bomb the USA, and if they do they probably dont have a singular nuke about about 5 megatonnes, which is pittiful compared to that of the USA's nukes, which one could probably destroy Korea.
