What do you guys think should be the script?

Suggestions so far.

• Full out Hunter(its P2P so probably not)
• quest runner
• Tutorial Island
• Varrock. Runecrafting (gathering and making something out of it) and woodcutting.

How about, if we decide something like a hunter :rolleyes: or some other very complicated, even for reflection. We aloud to do reflection?

No reflection
The task shall be chosen by someone that is not going to compete, and that got a fairly good knowledge of runescape content.
With that said, It won't be decided today, tommorow or in a week.

Maybe something else that can be used for the winner? Some people have been saying they could pitch in some accounts, so maybe something that would be useful for the account :)

Make something good like a quest runner, that will demonstrate abilities very well :)

Thanks, I would say get someone like Nava2 or Zephyr, lordsaturn to judge it.
Since they're great scripters :)

ohh a compitition =o ima have to get a team together. haha
And, a quest script? isnt that kinda easy..? well i suppose walking around without reflection would be quite chalenging, but it dosnt seem like it would require alot of creativity. just alot of walking around and talking to people.

Ehm… Quest script, if tutorial island is so easy why is Nielsie the only person here or maybe a few more who released a script? I attempted to make one too, but then they changed the tut island. Now they changed it back again =/.

2 or 3 should fit well.

If "Quest" contains Tutorial Island then I am Quest++.;)

people work better with different amount of people.

2 People you can never miscommunicate, better said few times possible.
4 People's is more a team yes, but I vote for 2.

Tutorial Island :)

Well honestly, i have a pretty simple idea.

Considering it's groups of two or three, the script should be rather large. And it should contain several skills as the first competition did.

So here is my suggestion: Varrock. Runecrafting (gathering and making something out of it) and woodcutting.

That should open a lot of doors especially if these skills are exploited to their fullest as varrock has an essence mine, earth altar and normal+oaks+yews. Furthermore people can also choose to add other skills as fighting, ore mining, smithing, you can use the GE to buy supplies etc. So for each extra skill give it a multiplayer as Special Ed did for the first competition.

And these are all f2p, and therefore possible to everyone. The only requirement for runecrafting is a small quest, and for earth runes it's just a couple of levels which you could easily do by hand.

Forgot to post here, but Nielsie said he might do the competition (set goal etc.).

Well he should figure it out soon ;] Random members have been doing a lot about it, and I think it's going fine :] And it's getting them to contribute and help and take action, which is always good ^^. But it's up to you guys.

I am for tutorial island, that is what needed.

Myles edit the thread so it includes a poll, then we can see what we do :)

I am up for either really.
IMO Quest Runner would be best.
Cause otherwise there will be loads of Tut island runners.
Whereas with Quest Runners people will do different quests (maybe)
Also Hermen you said you already made a Tut runner, that the reason you wanna do that ;)

It is hard to compare apple and oranges. Giving it some kind of roots is important - I like RM's suggestion of a Varrocky thing.

I swear, I won't use my knownledge of tutorial island and again I swear I even thought about that, it's just you do every skill in there and we need Tut islanders very badly to make armies.

- Something in lumbridge.
- The Varrock Idea.
That way we will have nice scripts.

Fine, it was my second idea, I think it was RM, he came up with the Varock-all-in-one idea.

I am for tutorial island, if it is not going to be the competition subject, I am still going to make it.

I am joining the competition the right or the left way, I just stated I am going to make a Tut Islander, what ever it takes.

That would be pointing to reflection?
I will keep it in my mind, I will add it when I hear someone saying reflection is allowed.

Some higher admin or something must set some rules like Color/or both and the rules etc.

i saw RM idea that would be fun to try

why dont we remake one of fawaki's scripts like Cows or Goblins, (leaning more towards goblins, i think thats what it was called) that trained your lvl 3 character to lvl 20 by doing random shit around lumbridge.

That's my favorite suggestion yet, but it's still not too challenging :\

A lot of these suggestions (quest runners and tutorial island runners specifically) require much more debugging and tweaking than scripting skill IMO.

+1. It needs to be something where it shows the super advanced stuff of SCAR, failsafes, fixing itself, etc. I think we should do what tara said ;D

Don't tell me you don't need skills to make Tutorial Island Flawless ;).

My first script (didn't release, as I don't with most of my scripts) was a tut island solver. It's mildly difficult, but not too bad (mainly gates/doors is the only problem).

Well, does someone want to compile the script ideas. This thread is a mess
