Finding Object ID's

Hey all,

It's been a while since I did anything with reflection and always got my ID's from RSBot. Now that it is detected, what would be the best way of getting them?

Thanks ;)

You can either use GetObjectAt if you know the coordinates of the object you need the ID of, or you can use DumpAllObjects and sort through 'till you find the one you want.

Thanks for the quick response :). Solved my problem.

procedure DumpObjectsDist(Dist: Integer);
Var
BaseTileX, BaseTileY, X, Y: Integer;
O: UID;
P: TPoint;
Begin
P := GetMyPos;
BaseTileX := P.x - Dist;
BaseTileY := P.y - Dist;
For X := BaseTileX To (Dist + p.x) Do
For Y := BaseTileY To (Dist + p.y) Do
Begin
O := GetObjectAt(X, Y);
if o.objType = 0 then Continue;
WriteLn('X ' + IntToStr(X) + ' Y ' + IntToStr(Y) + ' Type ' + IntToStr(O.objType));
End;
End;

You can also use that. :) Its much easier to read. + You don't get all 1000 sumodd tiles to sort through.

*Signs* There should be a general one.

I now just get the tile and find the object using that, works like a charm. :).
The procedure you posted looks very neat, I'll use that in the future ;).

Whenever I need to get info for a reflection script, I use Heysus's Reflection Debugger. This baby works a treat.

Here's the link http://www.villavu.com/forum/showthread.php?t=43693

Enjoy!!:rolleyes:

Where's the GE database?

Sorry if that's a silly question; I haven't been around in a while =)

Those were item IDs, not object IDs.
