Is it a good move to mass buy worn-out rune gauntlets, as they are at an all time low and it's raising real fast?

Probably not the best idea as they went down today.

How much cash do you have?
if you have about 25mil + i can tell you some things to merch and how.

As an experienced merchanter with almost a year of experience I would say no. It looks like the item is being bought out by a merchanting clan and they've just dumped it. Looks like you missed your chance buddy =/ bummer. If you want tips/advice in the future my old merchanting clan's website is: thegrandexchange.com
