Hi, if you got a popup from "pvh.freehostia" or something like that, asking you to "login to members", it is a trick, please hit Cancel on it, and report the thread with the description "trick login window" or something like that. Wizzup has fixed the 'problem' in all places he has seen it, but there might be more, so report them.

If you have logged into one of these, it is highly suggested you change your username and password.

How did this happen?

Basically, he used his "l33t non-nerd h4x0r p0w3r$" to make a .htaccess and .htpassword of an image, and anyone with that image in their signature, etc, will get propted with a login window. That is why you should always mirror a file onto something like tinypic, instead of hotlinking.

Haha I was the one that found it today on that one thread. More information, it doesn't disallow you to view the thread, you can just click out of it without any disadvantages.

Excusez-moi, I asked this to PvH and he said it was a site for school to exchange files (like homework), and that has a login, to prevent teachers from reading it.

If you don't believe it: the correct credentials are

If you still don't believe it… get a dutch mod to check the homework-files.

Harry, it's nice and all, but do you really expect the smart users here (which is 99,99%) to enter their rs/srl password on a freehostia site? And, do your research ;)
