Hi guys,
this is my first ever try at a GFX signature.


Rate and feedback please :)

Ugly render as fuck.

Too bright on the upper right side.

Text does ABSOLUTELY not match.

Needs a border :

Adding a border :

Create a new layer and press "D". Then press : CTRL + A. Go into edit > stroke.

And use the settings as :

Foreground color 2 px, inside.

You should have a nice border by then…


Rating :

7/10… NO ! 3.5/10 for the unbalanced render, but yet 5/10 since its your first :).

The woman is flat. 1 dimension.
It's like an 1 mm thick paper.

Blender makes 2D look 3D!

Alot of people here are really full of themselves and it would seem they get off on telling people they're no good at something.

The render looks really bad with the sig. Try a few tutorials

It's pretty good for his first! Take is easy.

No, I don't want you to lie, but yes, you should have said why otherwise it is not even worth posting "no". I know you don't mean it in a harsh way, but 'The Man' is a new member and he may not.

I have nothing against anybody or anything, I just don't want people to get discouraged from what they are doing.

You could easily said it in a nicer tone.

The Man: It is not that bad, is this your first signature or your first try at photoshop? (no offence! But if this is your first try at photoshop then I'd say its a great piece of work ;))
I do not like the small bright "orbs" that are white and green-ish.. they do not fit in with the color of your chosen render, and try to not to crop the render as much as you have done here, it makes it look a bit ugly :P

It is my first try at photoshop. And Penguin I did get that render from Planet Renders.

I followed an online tutorial with the same render and effects as him and I think this one came out quite well.
And i like criticism :)

You still have the .psd ? Save as .png, shit quality on that one seriously.

As long as I can't see whats done really I'll give it a 2.

Ah, Im not being funny here but The Man, you started out alot better than that of what Dervish did, so you know mate, keep up the work.

Atleast I can see you trying to experiment about with lots of different things. Keep up the work and you will learn more and more anyway.

I think the character is too blurred on the second one.

i like it, though the girl tbh is quite not good image and its quite hard to like uhmmm understand the picture due to being really blurry. Though for first timer 8/10. gl

8/10 is way overrated even for first one IMO.
I don't rate sigs by first, second, or heck: tenth! I rate them in general.
This is a 2/10 at its highest.

True dat. Funny thing is that most of the people would get pretty harsh criticism on some GFX focused sites (atleast with an arrogant attitude), but as people aren't that much into graphics here they can gladly act like they're the fucking reincarnation of Picasso or something…

By the by, the above not directed at anyone here, but just generally about the people that have that "im a photoshop gawd now after reading the 1st chapter of photoshop for dummies and making a few forum signatures *hyuk hyuk hyuk*" attitude. I don't really find sigs too impressive at all, anyone can make awesome ones by just following tuts (and many people even find those 3 minute projects with just a background and a image and some text slammed there awesome :p).
