My first attempt at a signature (look at signature)

Want truthful rating?
I'd give about a 3/4
The writing is very hard to read.
colors dont really go well together.
I guess as your first go though, its ok :)

Thx, I was on Ubuntu so fonts were hard to install with GIMP.

What colors would recommend?

Oh, and the font sucks. I didn't have time to fix it…

Um not really, text i shoppy, its also doesnt use any special effects at all. I don't really like the red either :/ 3/10

I like it because you 100% made it yourself, and it's 3D. All the other sigs use a normal pic, and are 2D.

I like it, although I think I'd like it better if it was smaller and a higher quality image.

Much better. Although I still think it looks a bit big in your sig (size is fine when it's on your website but not so much when it's following each of your posts). And the edges of the letters would look better smoothed, rather than fuzzy as they are now.

So should I keep it white?

And I will add 3 more passes of AA and scale it to 1/2 it's size.

TIF is not the best quality. .PNG is lossless. If he saved it as .TIF, it would be lossless too, but it would be like a 20 MB image :eek: Also, lol, hypocrite, you use a lossy JPG in your siggy :p :p

It is still a bit too blurry :| If I was to make it, I would smooth the ends, make the colors inside the letters lighter, and have that shading on the bottom gone -> transparent.

IT IS BEST QUALITY !!! You even said it, its lossless together with .png.

JK, I didn't loose too much compared to Blender.

But yeah, lossless is different with sizes. It is best to have lossless with the least amount of bytes.

JPEG is not the best quality, it's average for quality/size.
I don't fully know how PNG works, but JPEG and PNG together definitely aren't lossless.
JPEG uses DCT, and then quantizes the image, and therefore isn't lossless.
