Hey i was just reading a thread of someone asking if I donate could i get access to SRL Members.

Well I have a idea (a suggestion) that how about we make a seperate section for donators which will have something special…?

Outstanding great script by a DEV. Just 1 script made by bunch of DEV's and thats it. When a time comes , they can make a another 1 and stop the other 1 so doesn't have to be just like SRL Members section.

I say this will get peoples attention and way more donators, which will help the site even more and WT-FAWKI / Wizzup?

I dunno, I'd donate purely to keep SRL on and running the perks are extra. Saying that, it wouldn't be such a bad Idea

I agree with Nauman, I would donate for SRL even if there werent any extras, but it would be nice for a bit extra, maybe if you donate more than 2 times, or over $10

Well guys look i know what yall mean, though there are some leechers out there(juniors) that have any intention to donate for helping SRL, they want something out of it. So , I know there are alot of members/juniors out there are here to help SRL and not looking for scripts and such.

You should donate to keep SRL alive, not to receive a reward. I'm sure there are many more members who don't want the perks, but are too young to officially own a paypal account and the like, so it's difficult for them to do so. Most other communities based on the same theme of community based development don't offer benefits, but still get donations. If this community were of a higher average age, I think it wouldn't have to even think about problems with funding.

Well, many people can use PayPal accounts owned by their parents right? Because that it what I use. I use it all the time…

When you throw your two cents in, it means you're giving your opinion. Generally used when you are giving your opinion unsolicited.

I also agree that it's because of the average age of everyone at SRL. Up until I sold a few runescape accounts I wasn't able to get any money into my PayPal, as you can see I donated the majority of the little I got from it.

More benefits isn't required, considering the secret benefits we already get are more than my moneys worth (yes, they are very sexy, as some people say! Although I wish we had the old donators banner instead of this cup :(). Most forums do not give you back anything for donating.

But still, this would be up to Fakawi/Wizzup if they were going to give more benefits, so it seems kind of pointless to have a poll. I guess they can get some feedback if they were unsure themselves?

If anything I believe benefits should be lowered. Then we know you're donating for the right reason ;)

And on the other hand people are donating for helping and such.
Ya'll are talking about the people are the one who are trying to help, I'm trying to say we will have alot more donations , and can do more stuff with SRL.

I agree, it is up to them.
If the admins does put up more benefits for being a donator then there will be more donators, but they donate to get the benefits, not to help.

Meh TBH if I were to make a script I wouldn't release it to a forum that I can't see or a forum that has 20 people viewing.

How about we add the porn section like at RSBot, that will attract older users!

Why do the reason you're donating matter? As long as the site gets money.

How do you know what 'perks' exists anyways? Donators aren't suppose to tell others what 'perks' they get, if they get any…so as far as you know we might already have something of the sort…

Its been all over the forum, by the amount of stuff people tell, it's pretty obvious. And by observing what other forum members do after getting donator status you can notice.

What would Wizzup? do with more money? To be honest, I think he would spend it on whiskey and start taking advantage of SRL for his own gain, thus proving that money corrupts you and also making the forum a worse place to be.

We can do more stuff with the forums?
and help paying for the forums and will help WT-Fawki/Wizzup pay for the forums.
And not make them pay with there own money.

Actually, SRL is going to have it's own bank account so stuff like that won't happen. (Not like that would ever happen, at all.)

And not to mention the point of donating should be to help cover the immense cost to keep this place running.

I'm fine with what I have right now. Adding benefits will make people just try and buy their way to good scripts, and I've already seen people trying to do this. If people donate because of that, do they deserve to be here?

And devs shouldn't be put under pressure to make a script that works incredibly.

Furthermore without the Devs no script would work properly. (In SRL)

Kidding.. but it would help if people would help out with the ALREADY released dev scripts..
