I got my first phone:D
Lg keybo/Lg vx9100
Brought it from koodo, telus.
I have a 8gb micro HC sd card (I also have cable which connect the phone to comp) and I am trying to use bitpim (I am running on windows xp).
Bitpim can't detech my phone :( help

restart comp, happens all the time with phone
1. log onto windows,
2. connect phone
3. select conectivity mode on phone / comp..
4. come back here if it doesnt work.
you can always get memory card reader and use that to xfer data.
I wanna use bitpim to add custom ring tone to my phone (which can't do it normally or legally in any way).
My phone connects with computer, but bitpim doesn't read it.

it is not illegal to have a custom ring tone (well at least it isnt here in the uk)
just use a memorycard reader to transfer the files accross
then on the phone go to the sound settigns
then call settings
then ringtone settings
and choose the tone you want
note i dont have an lg nor was i looking at a phone so it probs wont be like that but it should be around those lines

in the uk everyone has a custom ringtone (apart from me (i have the default because i like it) but if i wanted to i could change it)
