Here is my first shot at Photoshop, no tutorials or nothing, just testing it out. I got PSE 7.0… I wish I could get cs2!

Eh, I'm really not sure what to rate this. Although I think it looks pretty good, all it is is a render pasted onto a gradient background.

Thats really good.

Yeah yeah but atleast I know what I rate. It's really plain, just a render smashed on a background (is the background a gradient or is it motion blur 45 degrees?). Text is not really fitting, work on that ;)

Why do I rate it so low..? Just because if you compare it to this:

Background isn't a gradient… it is a background from the mk vs dc game, and i blurred it a lot!

Ah, k. Wasn't sure about it :rolleyes:. And what kind of blur? Gaussian?

I can't remember… I haven't added anything else than what came with pse yet. I am going to download a couple brush packs today.

Edit: for myself I rate it a 2/10. First try, text doesn't fit well, and the background turned out to be a different color and I used darken filters to "try" to make it the right color… I don't think it worked out too well.

Its okay for a first, could've made the words more dynamic and added something to balance the right side. The background could be better, you could've even made your own render and mess with it to use as a background or create some brushes.

At least you anti-aliased him in there with some blur effect, better than a copy&paste.
