NiCbaZ for SSRL?

Sorry if I've been abusing the suggestions forums lately :p But I really think that we need to consider NiCbaZ for SSRL.

He has 6 cups. He is an old timer (been here a really long time), he is an srl valued voter (his vote in applications is more valued than most of you reading this), he is an srl aristocrat (I don't know what this one means), he is an srl donator (he has a lot of money with nothing better to spend it on), he has written many tutorials (he has a little too much time on his hands), and he's a great scripter (I've got nothing else to say).

Overall he just seems like a good guy who's been here a really long time helping and contributing to the community. Anyone else think it's time to let him in?

Edit: sorry, forgot to post link. http://www.villavu.com/forum/member.php?u=1784

I was thinking about this the other day. I say yes.

Frankly, I can't vote. I'm undecided. He is mature at times, and a good person. But is his scripting worth while? If I remember its rather flawed and messy.

SSRL isn't all about scripting. It is a group of (relatively ;) ) old men and women whose opinion is highly respected, and therefore most of the decisions related to SRL are polled here.

Previously I may have said the same thing Nava ;)

But he has a scripters cup and Richard doesn't. If Richard gets in and NiCbaZ doesn't, then that would only help prove my case on how inconsistent we are with ssrl member polls (unless there are reasons posted about NiCbaZ having a terrible attitude or something else I don't know about). NiCbaZ has been here a very long time too.

I get the feeling that he's very immature, but I won't vote just yet.

No.

I saw the side of NicBaz where he is "collecting" cups. have a look at his valued voter. The cup came out, he posted 5 well constructed comments on apps, he got the cup and never again did he post the same quality of reply on an app.

I also saw him complaining abut how the cups didn't get his avatar bigger.

aristocrat is for participating in the pub svn, and i don't see this cup handed out enough nor do i see nicbaz posting in the public svn.

He's a good scripter - true; But somehow i haven't seen a post from him which shows that he has some big light up in his head (read:very smart)

However these are just my personal opinions; vote is no.

I remember him asking me why he wasn't SSRL yet after being here for 2 years and he was complaining about how Lee Lok Hin was when he wasn't. (Lee made a typo "ssrl member" instead of "srl member" so Lee didn't actually reveal anything). This was a while ago (several months) though so whatever, but I don't really talk to him much anyway so I don't have an opinion.

No from me, seems a bit too immature and lacks insight

Not really. It just proves that theres more to ssrl than scripting, which we all already knew

There are too much of these people who like talk to one SRL dude on MSN etc, but they don't know loads of people, they should hang out at IRC or something… No from me, I don't know him :(

No, he just somehow doesn't get bored posting why people won't get in :p

Why would you need to talk to SRL people over IRC or MSN to make a good impression? I think our opinion should be formed by how he behaves on the forums.

Just because you don't know him, doesn't mean you should vote no (n3ss3s). And if think he shouldn't get in because he is immature, you should vote no, because that's probably the feeling you get while reading his posts (Method)..

I also have a feeling he's too immature, so no from me.

Excuse me for waiting to vote so I can try and get a better read on who he is as a person and forum user. Some impulse I had earlier shouldn't guide my vote until I've revisited the topic.

When I look to vote on SSRL Members I mainly think 'Has this person stuck me/the forum as being a higher than normal quality member?'. He still doesn't just 'pop' out when he makes a post. Most of the people I vote yes on usually pop out of a thread and I don't feel like reading their post was a waste of my time.

Nicbaz definitely isn't that type of person in my eyes.

Lol. It's people like that that really bug me. Take the time to help someone nicely or don't post at all. Simple as that.

I don't know NiCbaZ at all really, so I just wanted to hear your guys's take on him.

We should have an un cup section in the SSRL section (being half serious). If he cares about his cups so much, and he's going to just make a few good posts in members apps, get the cup and not give good posts again, then his award should be taken away.

This thread has really given me a poor opinion of NiCbaZ…

Well I didn't mean that I'd have to personally know him, but if you know what I mean, like, I don't think he's been much in… "community activity"… Hard to explain… And yea maybe he's a little too proud…

Unless his attitude/personality completely change for a long period of time (at least for me).

Read through his recent posts. Definite no.
