Refletction helps when pking?

I just had an idea. would it be possible to use reflection to figure out, b4 directly avilable on mm another player? and tell you that "hey there is another player comming up SW of you" then you could easily prepare yourself for it. also maybe using reflection to get the persons animations could *possibly* tell u what maybe theyre weilding?

now if that would work id be like :D lol…

Another idea i had is sometime i train in pc. i want a world with good high lvl players… using reflection i could log in accounts and see the players and lvls? lol…

comment please this was posted in "Discussion" for a reason.
A devlopment of a sweet help client using reflection to tell you things BEFORE they happened could really help for pking etc…

what do you think..?

I don't think you can detect someone until they're on the MM, even with Reflection.

I thought last i tested it was like 5 squares off the mm. but even if it was at the VERY edge then you could use reflection to see them b4 u could "see" them.

You can detect things off the minimap.
My guild miner checks to see if there are addy rocks filled before moving to them, which aren't even in the guild.
From what I have seen, the range of reflection is everywhere that is loaded currently.
Meaning everywhere on the minimap that isn't black and has been loaded can be seen.
Runescape loads blocks of areas at a time, and when you go through a loading screen it loads a new block.

The animation can't tell you a person's weapon, but I'm almost positive it will tell you a special attack.

You can get the combat levels of everyone in the boat and possibly average them together or something, but not people inside the game.

reflection doesnt hack, only reads. i dont think you can read what other people are clicking on their computer?

Great idea. Would be good if you can spot people around you and know their level. I mean it's just reading the are right?

If your fighting people with higher lvls, aka lvl 70+ they're always gunna be on highscores. using scar you can check highscores as RS added a thingy where u can access highscore statistics with pure text :D it displays all the listed lvls in a certen order. which is in turn easy to display in scar then you know what their lvls are, there weilded items etc :D if they're running or walking. :D

I totally agree. If only I could script in SCAR or Reflection (I'm just fail right now).

You can detect any NPC/Player/Object/Ground Item within the 104x104 tile loaded map.

And unless they are attacking, they have no animation ID.

Problem with this would be that a script can't be running if you disable SMART, right?

In that case, RSBot would be your only option for this :p

The RSBot client finds the combat levels using BCEL. I don't know if Scar can do this with reflection though.

it is possible to tell what someone in wearing, you can tell their weapon and all their armor or clothes.

also you can tell their combat level

this is an old pk client of mine, it was back in the day when you could find out peoples hp as well, now the client only get a hp ratio which isnt as useful

it used bytecode instead of reflection, and i suspect using reflection will make it very slow…

I've used this before..

Works well only problem is, as Yakman said, reflection only gets their HP Ratio, which can't be obtained if they aren't in a fight..

So it's kinda half useless ;/

you would have to have smart enabled for reflection to work.
thus making it so you cant click on, eat, run, or anything.

No you wouldn't. Pathmaking tools doesn't need Smart enabled to work as an example. It won't be able to click but it sure can read data.

now Yakman, my good friend. that client up for grabs ;)?

jakeyboy29

2009-04-22 00:58:22

really? and i think yakman said that it was for the old look runescape.

so if your right. the hp will be over head… (iv seen this before in srl.)
and you will be able to click on things with free-will? with the item i.d's showing? if so. only prob is lag of smart. apart from that good.

Hey, i might work on this, i was a bit away from the forums since my 125 got banned, but i like reflection and i allways wanted my own pk client, so i might give it a try. Anyways if anyone is interested, here is my HP checker, maybe give it a read and get some ideas out?

How do you plan to interact with the client while the debug is enabled and SMART is enabled, therefore rendering user input blocked?

Also, the "client" you guys are talking about is an actual game client that has been modified just slightly, not a private server client you all are used to.

Um, reflection can still read the client while SMART is disabled.

I don't think this is the case. I've never had results when SMART was disabled.

I checked before I posted. Although I did only check getting my own position.

Perhaps it's just color finding that doesn't work in that situation, then (unless it actually does and I'm wrong again…).

SMART reflection works regardless of if the client is active. Colour doesn't because when you disable SMART the client stops refreshing.

You can't use the debug while SMART is active. Aka you can't see the canvas while pking.

There has to be a way for something… :D

You could post the results to a form. :)

maybe sometime im gunna have to try this :D

[offTopic]is the certer and mime the only randoms you need accounts for? i rarely get those events but i get quite a few others that i log out on… :( and somebody needed a gift i guess to choose which reward. do you still need that?[/offTopic]

Yea, reflection can still read when smart is dissabled, my problem is that i just can't paint on the screen while using reflection, it's like if there were no canvas.. I'll post a sample in a bit because i can't explain it very well.

2009-04-23 00:32:09

I know what your saying^^ :(
i guess the best is to make a form with all the details:confused:

Shady?

2009-04-23 02:52:29

Yea, i thought about a form also, but i just never had the time/will to do it :P
If you want to do some scripting 2gether pm me, i like the sound of a pk client made in scar. I think Seroko told me once to do a form with a transparent background?

Nava2

2009-04-23 07:25:33

To do a transparent background I think you need to use a transparent property to the canvas.

Then, just paint the text with either bitmaps or using titles.

note: massive bump! but an informational one…

no; the players off the minimap are not in the local area and as such will not be in the local player list in the update block. the client wouldn't even be AWARE of the player's presence.
