GamerzHeavenz - Would you stake $ to play a game on LAN?

I have an new idea, and it is pretty simple and I have all I need to actually make it work.

My idea is that I make an forum, me and my friends create some LAN networks and people can join these and play any game 1v1, and to play they must bet some cash, and others may bet a few hours/days before the game begins, the winner gets all.

My question is : Would anyone bet cash to play a game?

I just want your feedback, say whats bad/good :)

There will be polls where people can request an server to be made, for an game, such as Red alert 3, if it isn't already been added.

servers for CS 1.6, CSS, and those known games will ofc be made before the site is up ;)

Some, but not much. All COD4 :)

You should set it up with a credits system where they buy/sell from you. That would let you take a percentage as your own (for hosting and whatnot). Credits would also allow people to get paid to server for others' games, which would be really neat if it ever grew into a big network.

I really like the idea.

LAN = Local Area Network

Or are you creating come VPN networks to do it or just password protected game servers?

:edited out:

totally wrong idea there…anyway

I might be illegal, money and minors is an iffy subject? Make sure to check what laws apply to staking money on it.

There is no real way of setting this up and it running smoothly, too many sore loosers and paypal abusers out there. If you done it locally with friends and all cash then yeh, but if the money is travelling through cyberspace not a chance.

Also you said LAN, which is hobbit mentioned is Local Area Network, so from what you suggested this is only for friends close to where you live?

LAN is only people connected to your local network, sure you know what your doing?
