Everytime I try to re-install, It does not give me the option to "BE SURE TO ALLOW ALL FILE AND INTERNET CONNECTIONS"

The first time I installed it, it did. I could've sworn I allowed them all…But the bad thing is I clicked "Remember This" So, if I did not allow it..It will always remember that…Please someone help!! Thanks in advance. :mad::(

Tools -> Firewall Rules

Don't forget about FileWalls as well. :)

Scar is permitted through Windows Firewall.
Scar has not been classified through Windows Defender. (I can't classify and apparently the computer can't either becuase it has said that the past month…) :(

Saying all that: Still does not work, comes up with same message….

I had that before too. Then I deleted my Embedded_SMART.dll from plugins folder and the whole reflection folder. Then it was succesfull.

You should get subversion and manually get the SVN folder. Then, move the Embedded_Smart.dll yourself. :)

Should fix allll your problems ;)

That's tricky! I was a well known member. Far, far away in a distant galaxy a lots of time before. Okay that was the tale. I don't know. When srl came back as villavu there was a short time when jr. members were able to set avatar. And no one removed mine :P

Check out the reflection tutorial section Master Kill wrote a tutorial up about using tortoise svn etc. :)

All it does is show you how to use and install, I know how to do both….The error is not allowing me too….please show me how to do what Sazbi was talking about. :(

You got your scar folder right? Then go into plugins folder, delete all Embedded_SMART.dll(maybe there is more ==>>baaad), then into the includes folder/SRL/SRL and delete the reflection folder too. Then use the installer again. I hope it will be okay. This helped me.

masterkill did write a tut but then he removed everything and put a link to widgets reflection downloader
edit : just ignor it it happens to me but i still get the full reflection…

Your saying you get the same error, but still get Reflection? :eek:

1 way to know if uv got latest is in reflections folder look at the changelog…

The only one I see is SCAR's and it is 3.15….:confused:

EDIT: I don't understand why this error is such a big deal, I have been not able to use a SINGLE script..This is very frusterating..Thanks everyone who already has helped, but please someone? Anyone?

I personally dunno the answer to ur problem, as i suffer from the same thing too. None of the previous posted "solutions" work.

But, if all else fails, you can still use some of the older scripts. The only things they lack are the functions and efficiency that come with reflection. Or new scripts that don't use that function.

That's what I'm sayin'! We evidently are the only one's….Widget needs to help seeing how he is the one who made Reflection…..:mad: Anyway good point as far as other Scripts it is still annoying as hell…..:(

Run Scar as an admin (right click on it) Then try it.

Are you on Vista? If so, being an admin isn't enough admin-ness for Vista. Find the scar.exe, right-click it, and Run as Administrator. The easier way is to just go into /includes/reflection/PLACE INSIDE PLUGINS FOLDER/ and place the plugin inside the plugins folder.

I have xp.

And when I did it it just came up with a whole bunch of errors (that's after I reinstalled scar + subversion and restarted).

errors like "failed to create key options". or "acess violation at adress 006CCD36 in module 'scar.exe'. Read of address 000002E4".

now i'm just like WHAT"S HAPPENING!!. I got scar working before =\.

edit: my DL includes & Checkout Srl Svn not working either (yes, I followed tuts properly). Did I screw up some vital system files or something?

All my Includes folder has in it is SRL and placeholder. :eek: When I installed SCAR it gave me no Reflection folder???

I am on Vista and ran scar.exe as admin still no luck.

Scythe's is not working either….:(:(:(

The reflection folder is in that del folder srl/srl/reflection :)

One thing I did not do was have the folder that says "place folder in plugins" in plugins haha nonetheless no luck….And I do not have Reflection folder. Is it named Reflection?? :confused:

No. You have to install reflection separately. Using Widget's installer. So get rid of your smart dll, install the reflection using the installer I have mentioned above, and don't worry about the error, you will got reflections. I always got that error but still a happy reflection script user :D (with the hooks.scar from dev section)

Well, I just upgraded to Scar3.20, and there is no smart.dll now…There is no place folder in plugins now…all the solutions everyone mentioned do not matter anymore I guess?:confused:

ok right i had a nightmare ive had the same problems but there fixed, first delete refelction, then the smart embedded bit

then re download the srl rev
then try the reflection installer (run as admin, im default admin but i still ahd to !)

fingers crossed it works, basicly i did this about 4 times then it suddenly worked fine

also the file that says move to plugins cut the files out of it and place in pluggins

You can't do any of that in SCAR 3.20…:(

I think by switching over to 3.20 I further screwed myself over, obviously no one has a a solution I will try and make a video of everything I do, and see if that helps…

Green paper, i just switched to 3.20, and it got reflection installed for me fine. It didnt work the first try, so i dumped my HD with anything related to SCAR(except my scripts) and redownloaded 3.20, then it worked fine. I dont think reflection is working anyway, but i dont really know how to use it so im probably just doing something wrong.

BTW. I had to remove EmbeddedSMART sumthing or other from the plugins folder for it to get installed correctly.

I can't find EmbeddedSMART I have searched all the stupid files, Everyone has been saying that's the main reason Reflection is not working plus possible other resolutions. But in 3.20 I can't find. Also, as far as dumping everything that has to do with SCAR I have re-installed and un-installed literally 18 times now…:(
