A Single Red Rose

So far my girlfriend is the only one that has told me that my little "writings" are good. So anyone whom reads this please comment on it and honestly tell me what you think of it.

Two eagles soared graciously high above the cliffs as sunshine shined blissfully across the darkened caps of the snow covered mountains. As the sun hit every jagged cliff and patch of snow, glistening like a thousand diamonds, you could see a clear stream of fresh mountain water slowly running down the mountain. At such a high altitude the mountain seemed to have a godly presence about it as the mist coming off the vast network of waterfalls glistened and churned the water below. Ever snow filled peak had a Romanesque feeling about it as the calm winds allowed the birds to dance in the sky while snow was slightly blowing. All was calm besides where the crushing water met the dense timberline of the forest below. As you stand atop the highest peak facing the northern rift you can see where the timberline of the forest has been struck down buy centuries of earth shuddering avalanches but it still has that scared feeling of closure while doom lingers over head. As the mighty waterfalls churned the rushing water violent rapids plagued the forest down below. Between the rapids and tall peaks of the mountain was the barren tundra. Frozen for centuries this food stricken land was the final resting place for many animals which had been falsely derived by its immense beauty, such beauty that as a result almost always ended with the blight end of starvation.Beyond the tundra are the mighty trees only the toughest left standing after the years of constant avalanches caused mostly by mankind. While so pure atop the mountain, mankind plagued the valley below almost as if an inferno raged war against the dense trees stripping them of there habitats. The creatures driven from there homes as mankind waged war against the trees. Most of these little forest creatures ultimately lost there lives to the frozen tundra sparkling with beauty. With such beauty came such great responsibility as a single red rose sprouted tall out of the frozen frostbit soil. A single red rose sparkling in a frozen orb around its petals. A single rose such pure beauty sprouting from the frost riddled ground where many have met there demise. A single red rose stands as if shaking its fist to the evils of mankind saying I am Mother Natures last surviving will. You shall not smite me down when all others are lost. You cannot stop my dream of living on and you certainly cannot stop the beauty of a single red rose sprouting so prosperous int the frostbit soil of the wind struck tundra. As the mist hit the tallest peak and the sky flashed green and while all the petals slowly fell off the red rose Mother Nature shines at its best as the earth freezes over and the sun is lost forever.

<(-.-)>

i dont know… it sounds all good and well but it lacks that true emotional feeling. The word choice of the writing is excellent but i just feel it isnt touching the hearts of the reader.

its still good though so i guess your GF has good taste for writing.

(unlike the girls at my school…):(

Well, I have too admit that I didin't fully read it, but I can say that it is alot better then some poems in a book there is at school. This is not a poem (i guess) I know, but I just want to say that you're at least better then that whole book.

Today we had to pick a book to read for a school asignment, so me and my mates were looking through some books and found a weird book full of short poems, and we were laughing our asses of,
'I am not a table.' was a secentence from one of them. lol how that fuck can someone come up with that! xD
