SRL Archive - Bot Information and Spottings

I have an idea.

Since it's getting more and more difficult to transfer goods and wealth to a specific account, and for some of us it's macroing on our main that gets us what we need and want.

What if we take a different approach to all this, least for a short while and for those who find it useful, macro for normal runescape players on bot accounts to try and give us botters a "Good" image to other players, and perhaps even get some to join our community.

What I am proposing is for whoever wants to, make your army, make your bots, get em a good load of botted goods, and just release all of it in parties. We can even promote ourselves in the process. Something like "10000 Coal ore being dropped at PARTY!!" and "Join Villavu dot com so we can provide you with more!". The whole purpose of this is to give use a good image to normal players, and get us more members =D.

Hey, not all of us are botting for ourselves =D.

meh could work, jagex convinced alot that we are a scamming site if they dare come here.

That's why I think we can reverse some of that =D.

You really think we would get out to the public?
Runescape has got 1m+ users (probably a lot more) and when making a drop party as you suggest, 20-50 people would be involved.

Well, it's an idea. and since last time I checked, our community was on a decline…

I dont think reaching 1m people is our goal and make everyone botters. But I think some parties and some free goods to normal players may be a good idea to raise our population least a little bit. it's a small advertisement, but it hits quite hard to the few exposed.

I don't really think a community with 59,942 members and 522,767 posts is small, but i think i get what you mean.

When you raise the amount of members, the amount of problems/leechers/spammers will also raise…

Only 1637 active members. That constitutes as a small community in my book :)

we have close to 60 thousand members, yes. But I'm rrefering to the decline as our number of active members.

leecher problems… I think you got a point there.

Still, a small increase shouldn't amount to too much that we can't handle =D, a few of those may learn fast and even release scripts + help others. There's always the "better image" thing to work with.

Wait so your helping more of the general public know about cheating.Brilliant,not. This will just equal leechers(people who get the macro they want and leave). Then SRL would come even more known through the runescape site and will be more detectable. I wouldn't think it's a good thing at all. The way this site needs to build is only by friends telling friends they trust.
