RSBot
+ Many more functional scripts (esp. now since the staff there has decided to crack and release all former pay scripts….)
+ The scripts made by the better programmers are better than the scripts made here by the better programmers == higher quality scripts (mainly because it's easier to script basic stuff there thus they can focus on the details more)
+ Easier to make your own scripts after some learning (AFAIK anyway. I haven't actually attempted to make an RSBot script, but I believe that I could cook something up if I tried)
- Absolutely horrendous community (Note the above above cracked scripts…): This means that their best programmers (the ones that made pay scripts) will probably quit and there won't be any amazing scripts anymore
- Rumored to be detectable now/in the near future because of their BCEL techniques
SRL
Basically just reverse everything up in RSBot and…
+ Color along with Reflection adds extra functionality
Personally, I auto with RSBot when there isn't a SCAR/SRL script available (or I can't make it myself without considerable effort, or I know of an RSBot script that works better than a similar SCAR/SRL script), which honestly is nearly all the time :\
rsbot goes down way too much :p

I've been using it for like 3 months and the longest it was down was for like 5 days when Qauters' hard drive fried and he lost the auto updater
That's way too much for me =X
Even though I don't auto or play RuneScape.
But a lot of my friends are like "OH EM GEE! RSBOT IS DOWN! HELP PL0X!!!11!1!11one!1eleven!!@111!2" and it's really annoying :/

That was the longest it's been down in 3 months :p Other than that it only needs an update every week which means it's down for ~6 hours/week.
Or do you mean the forums?
They used to be down a lot (like 2 months ago), but they switched their server and now it's never been down yet. Though their community sucks, so I wouldn't want to hang out there much anyway :p

I've had 3 (temp) bans (on P2P) from RSBot, about 4 (perm) bans (on F2P/P2P) from SCAR. Only character I value is my old main (P2P, got banned from SCAR), but I got a last chance because of the account review thread on it. IMO neither is more detectable at the moment, but there are rumors that Jagex is attempting/going to attempt to stop BCEL botting.

One would think Jagex would go after RSBot first, seeing as the majority of botters use it. Exactly how they'll do it, who knows? I came across a post on Scionbot -
http://scionbot.com/forum/showthread.php?tid=825Quote:
RSBot will soon become detectable. BCEL client hacking is already in progress of being stopped, just look at its new updates changing RSString to String and the new randoms. With the laziness of their developers the bot will soon result in perm bans. Its already starting over the new randoms, just look at all the reports of the randoms now. They are preventing botters from botting the scripts that return good rewards by flopping and updating new randoms.
New randoms are not readable by Rsbot last I checked and wont ever be able to be read by RSBot, by the time RSBot figures out the bank/random hooks, it will be to late, jagex will have stopped BCEL Hacking and .net/color/reflection/text bots will be the rebound to those addicted botters.
ScionBot be prepared, once botters start getting banned they will need to look for alternatives and ScionBot will be their answer (or scar, but scar isnt really user/noob friendly).

Nexus & iBot @ rscheata.net were popular for a while. They've been dieing down though because you need to pay for the minimizable version of their bot. Other than that, nothing really I guess.

Well I dont know RsBot much , but based on Runescapian´s arguments , if we talk about community , Srl owns RsBot , this community is very cool , people are awsome , funny and most of them interested on programing,
Rsbot may be just a leechers tool of cheating, while Scar and Srl arent just that. Here you have to make at least some little effort to use and learn how to use scripts , fix and maybe tweak them a bit :D

As long as you don't abuse it (as most RSBot users do, seeing as most of the scripts are flawless if made decently well), it's fine. I've been autoing ~5 hours a day on my main for about 3 weeks and I haven't been banned yet (might have gotten a bit carried away last weekend :\ – 12-15 hrs in a day).
Only bans I've gotten from RSBot are when I made a P2P army (when P2P got 10 day bans) to suicide bot (24/7) pure ess. Every week I'd have like a 50% chance of coming up with a ban. With Scar, very similar results.

Oh dear another one of these…
Seriously, what do you expect people to reply if you're on the SRL forums?
But I side with SCAR because I can script it, never tried RSBot scripting, and probably never will, I love SCAR, I use it because I enjoy scripting it, I never actually use it for my own RS gains…

I agree with Scar having more potential because of the combination of color + reflection, but proportionally, to make a Scar script equal to or better than an average RSBot script, the amount of effort would be much greater. Though, SRL makes up for it with it's great community of users and scripters alike :) IMO - Use Scar/SRL if you want a couple quality scripts (good for if you like to stick with one thing), use RSBot if you want a wide variety of working but not all that efficient scripts (good if you like to switch from one thing to another).
EDIT: Oh I forgot to mention RSBot's client is t3h s3x :p

I have made a shitton of money(RS and Realworld) from scar… gold trading from spinning bowstrings.
I have never been banned using Scar, but I hear reports of people getting banned using RSBot all the time.
Ok… So
RSBot-
Pros:
+Has userfriendly GUI
+Scripts are userfriendly, doesn't make noobs stare at a bunch of characters on screen for hours
+Is definately more fast than Scar
+A LOT more scripts
Cons:
-Have to manually download anti-randoms and anti-bans
-Retarded RandomBreak antiban that you have to have enabled to have a chance of not getting banned. Will Break you for 3 hours after botting for 8
-Overall takes a person with the brain of an insect to work
SCAR-
Pros:
+Has a good programming environment
+SRL is a very good bundle that is downloaded in a pack from SVN, easy and fast
+More programmer resources
+SMART almost makes it the same as RSBot
+IMO less chance to be banned, but biased since I've used and gained a lot from SCAR
+Runs more efficient(from my observations)
Cons:
-SMART is still very buggy
-Requires HIGHLY advanced knowledge of computers… CTRL+F and replacing lines with Copy and paste is extremely complicated for 99% of botters
-Many scripts do not support SMART, hijacks mouse
So yeah.

Personally the only thing I see wrong with it is that when you minimize/maximize it the connection with RS cuts out for a couple seconds, causing scripts (the ones I use anyway) to stop/fail 50% of the time. Might be just me though, as I haven't heard anyone have any problems like this. I circumvent it by pulling SMART off screen without minimizing :)
EDIT: Though yeah, I wouldn't classify it as
very buggy.
EDIT: Just remembered one more thing: Typing is buggy. I heard that you should be able to type while SMART is enabled, though that has never been possible for me. If I want to type I have to enable/disable SMART multiple times and hope it works.

Mmm the only updating you have to do with RSBot is once a week after an RS update when you have to Go To Desktop -> Right click RSBot folder -> Click Update SvN -> Wait 20 sec -> Done.
Though, I have moved away from RSBot, only because SRL's reflection is now good and stable :) I make my own scripts for what I want to get done because SRL's combination of color + reflection gets the job done better than BCEL.
What? Just a client, a debug box and a few buttons and stats of the account with no area to write scripts?
RSBot client
- Can type while script is running, and if needed you can enable User Input and mouseclick something
- 2 Clicks and you can get the IDs of whatever you want
- Uses A LOT less resources (I can run about 7 RSBots using the 'Less CPU' option vs. 2 SMARTs with the FPS bar at nearly lowest)
- Convenient Account and Script organizer (Though you could argue Scar's is just as good)
- And, I don't know about you guys but my SMART is buggy (for instance, every time I minimize/maximize it it cuts off RS for a couple seconds, which sometimes causes a script to fail, or the fact that you have to click enable/disable like 5 times before it unlocks your ability to type)
EDIT: - The 'script writing area' is just as good with Eclipse
So yes, RSBot's client is much better :p

If their is good and unique scripts like Aviansies like i have seen with the RSBot community they are kept well hidden to the maker or private sections like SRL Members.
The scripting in SCAR seems fairly simple.
You can run multiple accounts with ease, and minimal lag, if none at all.
I'm planning to start browsing the tut's in SCAR scripting so i can join the Members section and contribute myself.

SCAR wins by a mile. The community is much better, the bots are safer, and it's funner to code in.
And that was speaking from a before-RSBot mass bans mindset. Counting present statistics, I believe my choice is crystal clear, as if it wasn't before. :P
SCAR all the way. ;)

RSBOT runs smoother but never can do allnighters or at least 8 hours of straight botting..
unlike Scar there are alot of allnight lasting scripts like narcle's and forefeathers all that good stuff plus its safer so ya!
