sorry about the title, a little tired and I dont know how to change it

I understand a little about programming, but I dont understand how reflection for Runescape works. Does it read the games memory?

Also how does s.m.a.r.t. work? I mean how does it not use the mouse while
running and still not be detected by Jagex?

well reflection read's of the rs client and the client is s.m.a.r.t so if we didn't have s.m.a.r.t then reflection wouldn't work but we can still use smart without reflection
smart cannot be detected by jagex because it does not modify rs in anyway

in SCAR's api is the GetCanvas() function, which returns a TCanvas. TCanvas has a property called Handle, which is a native HDC (device context handle) used by GDI. typically, you select the HWND of runescape via SCAR's window-picking utility (the thing with the crosshair). however, once you initialize S.M.A.R.T. in your script, it replaces the HDC with that of its runescape applet. S.M.A.R.T.'s SCAR API also overrides the typical mouse and keyboard procedures and to redirect to S.M.A.R.T., which sends 'silent' or 'fake' events to the applet, similar to RSBot, so that you can still use your mouse and keyboard while macroing. S.M.A.R.T. also uses JNI and exposes a simple API for SCAR scripts to access different fields inside runescape, similar to how RSBot and iBot work, so that scripts can rely less on image and color-finding algorithms. i'm not sure if those algorithms can even work if S.M.A.R.T. is minimized, but if it can, i don't know how it does THAT but i'd be eager to learn.
