What is Ventrilo?
Ventrilo is a proprietary Voice over Internet Protocol program with clients for Microsoft Windows and Mac OS X. Most users of Ventrilo use a headset or microphone and use the program to talk to each other, similar to a telephone conference call.

How do I join?

1. Download and install Ventrilo
2. Open the client, create a user name.
3. Click on the server config button, hit new, and fill out the info accordingly.
4. Hit ok, then connect. Chat and enjoy :)

yeah i was on once, not many people were on it. I think people are concentrating with IRC due to not having a mic and stuff.

Also, hosting on a non-payserver requires a pay license to allow more than 8 connections :(

lordsaturn, im having a problem with my vps i hope i can fix it :)

I need to know:
-you want a private SRL only vent?
-will you accept a vent if SRL has its own channel in a different vent (not its own dedicated vent)
-what about if I can give the SRL Admins/leaders adminstrative status in that channel
-etc. just give me general ideas and I will make it happen.

Vent is a proprietary piece of crap who are too retarded to write a linux build.



Hence, why I am now running Mumbler. It is much better quality, lower latency, etc. It is multiplatform, and opensource. I highly recommend you connect here instead.


For Linux, sudo apt-get install mumble. Then just connect to harryy.us, port 64738 in it.

For Windows, http://mumble.sourceforge.net

Everyone come on Mumble its more better quality and i can use it as well as Linux users like Wizzy since Ventrilo on Linux has problems

I agree with Harry, use mumble because its available for windows and linux
