Support P2P

It seems to me that SRL should support P2P for RS aswell as F2P still.
It wouldnt need that many changes, just a few additions to Banking Functions and maybe add some symbols to FindSymbol();

I would be more than happy to do it, would only take 10 minutes or so.

Just my thoughts.

You can just modify the functions/procedures and don't have things for P2P yourself. But most of SRL should still be compatible with P2P, the only thing I can think of is banking and things similar.

My question is.. "why?". What is the use? So SRL is heavier with functions that only a small majority of scripts use?

I don't have P2P but I think you should add some stuff for members.

I just dont see why not.

It would only take about 10 lines of code to add the main P2P banks and maybe some symbols.

Then write the code and I'll add it. Tell me what symbols are needed and I'll get them.

"a small majority" ? i wonder how you worked out that a majority can be small :)

i think that at it's current state it would make sense for srl to expand to p2p.

SRL would be nice if it had a greater range for members

One problem would be keeping up to date. I know of a few developers that have problems getting membership.

I think it would make sense to get the randoms and other problems that we're backlogged with already fixed. I do agree in a way however, SRL will one day need to move onto the whole new world of P2P.

Maybe you should post some functions in the Public SVN to get some people motivated? ;)

The only reason SRL doesn't support P2P as such is the P2P world is a lot larger than F2P and getting OpenBank compatible with all P2P banks and getting information on all the symbols takes a lot longer than 10 mins. Feel free to help us out though.

There are a lot of P2P banks as well that are not like any others, like Illyeta is odd.

It could be done, but would the effort not be better placed into Randoms etc?

I agree that Randoms should be first priority, but I also think this could be a nice addition into SRL.
I'd like to think that I can have most things done by this weekend.
(I dont have much time to work this week at all)

My opinion on this is quite simple as allways ^^

This is the right time, There just got in a new Developer,
means a little bit more power & SRL in it's current state is
a finished product? Why not expand it!

If developers need member, shouldn't fellow srl users step in an lend accounts?

Expanding to P2P, is a good idea. I'd also be willing to give developers my main.

Members accounts should never be a problem. Developers can use mine anytime, I try to be in IRC as often as possible as well.
