You must have completed the Swan Song Quest to get to the Piscatoris Fishing colony

Please take a little bit of time and read through the options within the script before starting it.
It should be fairly easy for most to read and understand.

Wherever possible I have used existing SRL functions to maintain future compatibility.

Instructions:

• Make sure that Windows is set to 32bit colour depth.
• Add Your details to the script in the places clearly marked with "ChangeMe".
• Read the Comments next to each option and change depending upon your needs.
• Place you player in the Piscatoris Fishing Colony so that the bank and shop symbols are visible on the minimap and the shoreline is also visible on the minimap.
• Make sure you have a small net in your backpack.
• Start Script.

How's this for an absolutely kamakazi 16 hour :eek: progress report from hepsuu who had 4 randoms successfully solved by SRL.
As great as this progress report is I would caution against running any script for such a long single run.
Personally I would say keep it down to around 10-12 hours a day max.

Hey man. Great script. It did 3 loads for me and then i got a Molly random. I did the random and restarted the script because it was screwing up. Other than that, if you don't get any randoms, then this script is pretty good! Thanks! and here's a proggy for ya. Not very long though. =)

Thanks, i'm pleased it works well for you..

SLR never dealt with the molly random very well but after SRL had chewed up the handling of molly my my script would have still logged out safely before long and would also have played an alarm to give you a chance intervene before it logs out.

Obviously with the current situation with randoms & until the next SRL update is released it's always best to keep one eye on any script thats working away, which is why I added the audible alarm. I have found however that randoms are less frequent than before and if you run the script just after a random event have been successfully dealt with you can comfortably leave the script for a good few hours without any worries.

It's worth noting that SRL detects a lot of the updated events as Molly and quits fairly quickly (this is a good thing and beyond my control but does mean that i can't interecept those events with my alarm). It's only when the Random event is actually Molly that SRL messes around longer than it should.

It would be good to see more progress reports though.. C'mon people!

True they have lost a lot of value very recently but they are still profitable, sell easilly and are very good XP. Maybe the price drop is down to the 175,000+ Monks i've caught with this script? :rolleyes:

Hopefully the new improved SRL will be out soon with all the randoms routines rewritten.
Imagine what kind of runs you would be able to achieve then..
I reguarlly achieved 12 hour runs before the latest runescape update.

Nice run A G E N T.. Pity you got hit by the random. As for it not alerting you to the random. SRL has it's own random handling routines if it recognises a random that it knows it can't solve, SRL will log you out without an alert and as quickly as it can. Unfortunatly I can't intercept this proccess without recreating all the built in SRL random detection routines. What I can and have done though is create fail safes to handle all eventualities that SRL doesn't handle. In all those instance this script will alert you with an alarm and give you time to intervine before logging out. Either way everything should behave as safely as possible and log you out of any bad situation.

My last run which managed to do just over 6 hours without being hit by a single random.

I started this unattended run just after recieving a random event to minimize the chance of being stopped by a random for the duration.

Running again now, had a random 30 mins or so ago so it should do well.

I am testing this with Scar 3.20 I will post a proggie after it runs overnight and if it does. I ran it on 3.15B awhile back on the first day of this script release and it worked fine :p. I have high hopes.

after which it just keeps movin the camera view. i will try it with the old scar later see if i can get it to work there.

Ultra Monkfish and bank has been fully tested and runs very well on SCAR 3.15b.

I have not tested it on SCAR 3.20 as it's still very buggy. As soon as it is stable rest assured I will test it and insure that Ultra Monkfish and Bank runs perfectly on it.

Until then please use SCAR 3.15b and SRL rev 32 as that is what it is designed to run in. 3.15b can be found HERE.

Maybe posting a larger proggy tomorrow. Having a strange problem with smart every once in a while. When I decide to check how its going it sometimes starts the timer and quits the script. This has come up with other scripts using smart too, so its not about the script i guess.

Nice work.

This script along with many others has plenty of failsafes. One of the most common failsafes is to check that you are still logged in. When you restore a window or cover the smart window, windows can refresh the screen and temporarily disrupt the SMART window making it look to SCAR as if the client is no longer logged in. This behaviour is different through different versions of windows and hardware. I don't experience it at home on VISTA but do on my near identicle machine at work. I don't experience it on any of the XP machines at work but one of them at home has the gltich as does my Server 2003 instalation.

I am looking at better methods to impliment this failsafe and make it more robust. I will hopefully release it soon when I can be sure it still fails safe.

Are you thinking about updating this for scar 3.20d?

I will update it to 3.20+ when SRL has been updated to cope with it and when it is a stable enough standard.

It currently works perfectly with SCAR 3.15b and regularly achieve 10 hour overnight runs. If it aint broke why fix it!? You can have both 3.15 and 3.20 installed at the same time. Why the rush to upgrade?

Having said that, I will reinvestigate further this weekend how much things have really changed and re-evaluate my position.

Unfortunately there is no changelog with SCAR so it's very hard to know what has been fixed and what hasn't with each subversion.

Yes I see no reason why it wouldnt work with 3.15b, I was just curious. :o

Yes it still works great, I'm using it daily to be honest. Maybe I shouldn't but it's just too great scipt to leave unused. :) I hope you keep updating it if the script counters prolems with possible future updates.

It looks like a great script. Every time I try to run it, It gets to the shore fine and then can't find a fishing spot. It moves the mouse over the water, waits for a sec, and then moves down the shore for a new spot. It just repeats that over and over. Anyone else have this problem?

So yes, I know this is a doublepost and doubleposts are not seen as a good thing nor acceptable. But I have several times edited my last post and since editing doesn't bumb the thread no one has replied.

WorldSwitcher.scar has been moved from misc to core in SRL folder and when I change the

{.include srl/srl/misc/WorldSwitcher.scar}

to

When I remove {.include srl/srl/misc/WorldSwitcher.scar} from the script it compiles good, opens smart, shuts smart and opens it again and works good after that. But for some reason I'm not able to get those 10h proggys anymore. For this week my longest proggy so far is about 3 hours.

Could you update the script or just see if there's something thatcould use some fixing? Would be very lovely thing to do. My most used script from SRL by far.

WorldSwitcher.scar is include in srl.scar
remove the line

 {.include srl/srl/misc/WorldSwitcher.scar} 

try use SRL OPENDEV

I really don't know what you guys are talking about. I just got a 10 hour run, flawless, max time reached.

First of all, the script won't work with the new update anyways, but to fix your error, you simply need to remove where it says include worldswitcher. (Assuming you're using SCAR 3.21 alpha). Freddy fixed it himself, he moved to core, no need for you to do it.
