SRL Archive - Apply for SRL Membership

Unfortunately, i have to inform you that SRL Member applications are temporarily closed. Nothing to worry about, this temporary situation is most likely a very short one.

When moving servers the SRL Member App mod was unfortunately lost, it used to keep our applications tidy and well organized. It will have to either be restored or re-done, but nothing to worry about.

However, do not let this stop you from scripting nor from preparing your application, as they will be back as soon as we find a better solution or solve this issue.

Considering your app was already going on before the down time it will go on. The votes are still on until the 22nd 24.00 gmt, so once the voting is closed and the decision made we'll figure something out. if you get in you'll be able to see whatever new comments there are by yourself, otherwise, if this is not yet fixed by then, i will pm you the comments.

I will most likely pm you directly any new comments that are made to your app so you have a chance to reply if you so wish to. :)

What if we just had a template what users have to copy/paste and fill in?

I think just having a simple forum wwhere people can post applications with a yes or no poll is more than enough. And give only srl members and higher the permissions to vote and etc.

At least most of you stand a chance of getting members, for people like me who have less than zero coding skills, I have been apart of the srl family for a while played rs for a long time, but i just cant grasp scripting. So im forever going to be on the outside looking in…

I do, Jason how i started scripting was working out how a main loop worked… then i grabbed different procedures from other people and put them togeather to make silly things, and i grasped it from there tbh…..

Learning SCAR is one of the most difficult things I have done in my life. It took me a good 2 years to know many things, then again I'm a slow learner. Many people e.g. ZephyrsFury, Nielsie grasp it in such a small time.

Start by making small color clicking scripts. Its not going to be easy - I applied 8 times.

Just stick with it and in a few months you'll look over your old scripts and think - 'was I actually that nooby?'

I think everyone has about covered it…Way to simple..Standards are non-existent, you didn't utilize the player array….Etc…..I'm not trying to sound harsh, but Please check out Tutorial island, and try again in another 7 months…
