I did it!
(For all those band oriented people out there)
I made All-State band!
I play Bass Clarinet in middle school, and I got 2nd chair, with a score of 181. The person who beat me had a score of like 187, and the person below me, (who I know irl, and had beaten me at district by one chair) got a 172.

Yay 4 me!

I am the second top Bass Clarinetist (Technically, but I bet I could have beaten that guy if my sightreading was better) in my State.

Woohoo :D

That bugs me when people say that. No shit you could have beaten him if you were better, ITS COMMON SENCE.

he means he's more talented, he just hasnt had the same exposure to the things the other person has had. Havent you seen DrumRoll son? He cant read music but he's the best drummer there (If you havent seen it go watch it its amazing).

N e ways, Congrats NoIdea, although band is not my first choice in spare time…

Lol, I had been refreshing the scores webpage like every 5 minutes, and then It comes out like at the time I'm supposed to wake up in the morning :p

Thanks Mylesmadness.

Congratz, I have a friend who plays Bass Clarinet and is pretty good.

Awesome! It must feel great for all the hard work to pay off.

Gratz, 2nd in the state is very nice.

Where I live, all-state is only high school, not middle. However I did make 2nd chair all-state jazz on trombone this year. :)

Very cool. I also play tenor sax in my school jazz band. My band director and I found that there is a middle school state jazz band, but I was to late to try out :(

Congratz :)
