SRL Archive - Reflection Discussion

Hey, i love reflection and i use it all the time but i havea problem what do i do when i whant to go past the basic because i can find a tree and i can walk from 1 side of the map to the other in 1 procedure but how to i get very spersific vars? like the text in the item valuer? or the prices for the GE? i do belive there are ways of doing this and i would like to lurn how :)

Also can some1 please exsplain to me hooks? (i know what they are) but how do they work? do they work like pointers in delphi? also how do u find out the hooks? just look like letters to me so what do they actualy mean? and 1 more thing how do functions like "SmartGetFieldArrayInt" and "GetInterface" work?

@ Interface question - Do you have RsBot… open up the interface explorer in it. Those numbers are the index of the interface. The child numbers(or whatever they are called) are the contents of the interface "folders".

I can't explain other thing(smartgetfieldarrayint)… but i think it uses hooks(hooks are like categories of things… like a TPoint contains the x and y point. The hooks contain all of the information of the "objects" in RS. Someone correct me if i am wrong!)

Every hook is a field in the client. The first letters are the class name, the second letters are the name of the field in that class. Function like SmartGetFieldInt are what allows to get the data from those hooks, as without those, we wouldn't have any way to do it from SCAR
