27th February 2009 - Temporary Closure of the Bounty Hunter Craters
We have temporarily closed the entrances to the Bounty Hunter craters while we fix a few problems with it. Broadly speaking, we are looking to fix the following issues:

The level-matching system wasn’t working at all well, with players often ending up in unfair battles they were unlikely to win.
With the launch of PvP worlds, Bounty Hunter suddenly became less populated, which meant the bounty mechanic stopped working properly. We still love the idea of a bounty mechanic with players being given targets, but we think it can be done so much better, especially given what we have now learnt from PvP worlds.
Real-world trading was occurring at quieter times of the day.

Don’t worry, Bounty Hunter isn’t disappearing forever - we’re just disabling it while we fix the problems. Bounty Hunter will be back. :)

We do not intend to reset the hisacores tables associated with the minigame, and will make sure that everyone’s hard work on those hiscores is not lost.

You will still be able to use the Bounty Hunter bank and the games necklace teleport to the area.

Why doesn't it sound good, it is one of my XFer methods (:() but else, I find it interesting, the unfair battles were horrible.

Yes one of the transfer methods. This is a problem. As for unfair battles. Up ur player up more so you dont have to worry about it anymore.

i dono i think the whole xfer limit was bs…… NOW if jagex were smart and not retards they would sell rsgp themselves and make a special window that dropped it in your inventory and make it to where if you have been a player of rs for at least 1yr your xfer limits are banished or at least higher

Theres a reason why they dont sell rsgp. Because if they did, and they didnt have xfer limits then they would still have lots of problems with macroing and rwt privately. Not to mention that private rwt would probably lead to more credit card problems like theyve had in the past. I can understand xfer limits, even if it is a pain in the ass for us macroers I get why they do it, fixing the bounty hunter thing sucks.
