You forgot an end. ;)

Cheating is when you do something against the rules?

Cheating is when.. you use something to give you an unfair advantage?
For example in a game of chess, all your pions are queens?

All of the pions being queens would not be concluded into cheating… if only one person was using queens… then that would be an intelligent use of resources. I would just suggest that more people learn how to play the game.

If someone is using their resources and harms who/whatever they are using them to gain an advantage in … then they would be considered a bad influence to the community.

Cheating is when someone breaks the rules intentionally, either to gain something that is otherwise difficult to gain or takes time to do.

no! you could "misinterpret the rules" :o

If you misinterpret the rules, then you wouldn't be intentionally breaking the rules.

But they're not intentionally cheating.

They misinterpreted.

I agree. It isn't cheating if it is an accident.

Ok, then, since everyone says it is "doing something against the rules" describe your thinking. Also, can you explain what you mean by using no set of rules in particular?

i put it in quotes.. because some coach or something won some football game and when he got caught cheating he said he misinterpreted the rules..

Cheating is intentionally breaking stated rules to gain an advantage over other people.

So what if you gain an advantage over other people by doing something that is "technically not a rule", but is considered bad practice?

Act dishonestly to gain profit or advantage (looked in dictionary) :D

It could be "use a thing that in the originals plans didn't existed to give you a dis/advantage over other who use it, only existed in other way than the original project and can't be obtained by official way, with understand or not of what doing, presumably your own conscience tells you about if it is wrong or not " ?
