Yes, we all here auto i auto everyone does. But do we get used to things being done for us and kinda lose touch with the scapers we are? i have been playing runescape for 6-7 years sense classic and the beginning of runescape 2. i have always loved runescape, but it has changed now, sense i started autoing that is.
When I first started playing runescape i never really trained anything besides strength, hell i never really trained anything i was young at the time, and saw the only thing fun to do was run around trying to find a way to get rich, so by the time the classic era was over, and runescape 2 beta came out i only had like 28 strength and 10 attack and defense.
In runescape 2 is when i really started playing, realized i had enough money for full rune and got excited, bought full rune, then noticed i can get a dragon long instead and got more excited, at this point i was playing almost everyday for like three hours or more. and from there i would play more and more and more, and get into everything, but now sense i have autoed i don't wana do anything as a member of SRL and RSBOT there are numerous scripts i can use to do just about anything instead of actually doing it, i feel like not doing anything on runescape and the only things that are actually fun to do anymore is duel arena, pvp worlds, clan wars, all the pvp mini games pretty much. I don't know if its autoing that has changed my ways or, the war on real world traders, and the changes that came with it made my love for runescape change, but every time i used to play runescape it gave me a warm at home feeling.

Autoing is never bad, rules are ment to be broken (not SRL's :p)

Why would your boredom with a game make autoing bad.

I used to play RuneScape quite a bit several years ago and then I stopped. Several years later I decided to start again, created a new account and had a look at what state SCAR and similar projects were in now. If I hadn't got into RS cheating then I wouldn't still be playing RS (and it was only a month ago that I created my new account)!

So the way I see it.. I played RS, got bored, stopped. Started again many years later, got into cheating properly and am fairly certain that I will still be 'playing' RS in many months, probably years, time so imho autoing certainly isn't bad!

As a bonus, Jagex get my money because I auto.. if I didn't auto then I wouldn't be playing RS anymore and therefore wouldn't be paying for membership!

I think the main idea is to find out if people THINK if botting is good or bad.

I think you have just gotten bored with the game like alot of people. I myself got bored of it about a year or 2 ago. I play cause autoing is fun and i really want to learn scripting. Think you're just trying to get a little too much out of the game.

If autoing stops you from playing RS for three hours a day then yes it is good.

Autoing is good my friend.
Playing legit is pretty boring.
Autoing they say… is a very mysterious way…of playing runescape :cartman: One who autos is blessed right here and the here after….with free exp and geepeez. Think about it.

yes i feel autoing is good myself, but it might be taking the fun out of the game for us because instead of working for it we could just auto for it, and eventually it gets boring. i think that's more of what happened to me. but thanks for all the replies

I think what he's saying is that a lot of the fun came when you were training skills and you met other people. Think, before you got into autoing and played legit, you probably spend 70% of your time on RS just training. For some reason, some people (me included) kind of liked training skills and watching as the exp ticked down to the next level. It was fun merchanting and making mills at once (though yeah, can't do that anymore :(). Now that you know how to auto though, it seems pointless to do that. Jagex should make training skills more fun – That's the REAL solution to stop botters and RWTers.

YES!!! that's exactly what i was trying to get at but you just got it soo perfectly, i met a lot of cool people training, if i even do train anymore i'll talk to anyone that's there and its more like talking to some one more than training. and i used to love merchanting, i would sit in world 2 right near the farming patch saying buying obby capes 250k ea, and would buy all my moneys worth, and immediately sell it for 270k. 20k isn't much but everyone was buying those capes because they where the best at the time. thank you

[offtopic] Yew Logs were teh shiz for merchanting back then, F2P to Forums. I had like 10m, would buy logs for like 250ea, then sell on forums for about 280. Could make a couple mill in a day if I was lucky :)

It does take alot out of the game, but then again the game gets to a stage where it's just mindlessly repeating the same stuff over and over again with no pleasure or fun…the exiting adventuring days of being a noob come to an end for everyone, I guess autoing would catalyse it though if it hasnt happened already. Personally alot of the fun was lost to me years ago, and its only recently I've started autoing on my main so it hasn't really had much of an impact

Autoing is good if you are lazy or something :P Who play runescape 24/7,go out and meet friends etc.

RPG games are all the same. You spend alot of time on em. too much often.

I would say botting is good. why? because sitting 7 hours a day playing a game doesn't take you anywhere in life. I rather use the time to study then just sitting clicking.
You can learn really usefull things on this forum, Spending time here is better then being a jagex slave. ;)

I don't say that runescape is a bad game, its just very time consuming game, and its great game. Even if you like it or not, its a really great game.

i will never stop autoing.
But quick question how many times can i break rule 7 members before its perm ban? i got 2 already.

autoing is bad if your one of those players who spend every free moment playing rs, but good if you want to have a life and play a game casually
