Whenever I try to use SMART on my desktop, I get

[Runtime Error] : Exception: Access violation at address 6720456E in module 'Embedded_SMART.dll'. Read of address 00000000 in line 85 in script C:\Program Files (x86)\SCAR 3.15\includes\srl/srl/misc/Smart.scar

So I looked around and couldn't find any solution, so I tried running it on my laptop using the exact same setup(except my laptop doesn't use the 64bit edition of xp) and it works perfectly. So I guess what I'm asking is, does SMART work on 64bit machines?

Is this true?
I'm just about to buy the new windows i7 so i can get some more RAM for my computer.
(I know someone would acuse me for gravedigging, but dind't want to start a new tread when there's allready one!)

I'm 99% sure that it should work, haven't hurt anything about it..

SMART works on my 64bit Windows 7… I have 64bit XP on a couple of computers in the house, I will look into it and see if I can figure something out for you and I'll edit my post when I find something.

Edit: I tried it on my laptop and another desktop both with 64bit XP and it worked fine. Sorry buddy

Smart works for my windows vista 64 bit.

I have the same problem on my new Windows 7 Laptop (64-bit). I'm using SCAR 3.23 Pre-release, latest SRL open-dev (rev513). And I have moved my plugins. What do I do?

^ Run as administrator? I never had problems with SMART/SCAR/Simba/SRL with Win7 64-bit.

EDIT: I tried a script on simba just then; same error. I ran it as Admin as well.

Do you have Java installed correctly? I don't see why you wouldn't, but it was posted when I searched for "Access violation at address Embedded_SMART.dll."

HAHHH, it worked. :duh: I thought I had java, but obviously not. The laptop is 2 days old so I guess it wouldn't have it.
