Reducing Image Size of Ranks

To prevent further culttering of Rank Images, I propose sizing down the awards considerably, about the size of the icon you see above you right now when you are replying to this thread.
I think it will be much nicer having them scaled down to 25% or so like this:
I have never found them in proportion to the subtle layout of the VBulletin Skin.

I would say that is a little too small. Maybe 50% if you want to do something. But in proportion to everything in that area (avatar, text, names, etc..) I think they are pretty good right now.

I quite like them the way they are, but if it has to do with bandwidth etc, and it would be cheaper for you, go ahead.

I like the current ones, but I wouldn't mind a sizing down. However, the 25% looks excessively small (unless they need to be that small).

I agree I find them a quite nice size but like said above if it is cost issue then minimize away

Try 40%

Once they are cached by the browser they shouldn't use any additional bandwidth?

If this is a bandwidth issue, can't they be uploaded to imageshack or some other image hoster?

Bandwidth or not, I'm not here to look at rank images or avatars. Minimize away.

I vote 33%. 25% is almost to small methinks.

I vote keep them as they are, everyone is used to them, and you can't go outside the margin unless you keep both scripter and master, both admin and mod, etc (Nielsie ;)).
25% looks like an orange blob with a white stain…

I would say reduce.
On the reduce of bandwidth theme, in your CP you can set options for the amount of posts you want to see. You can choose between 5 and 40. I'm pretty sure that 40 takes up lots of bandwith you don't use, since you've already read the posts for example. But 5 maybe a little to less posts per page (since you have to download the page for every 5 posts), so if we restrict that to some value between 10-20 it might reduce some bandwidth?

Tbh I like them the way they are now =/

i basically agree with the general opinion. i like them as they are, if it's cost related go ahed. but i'd suggest maybe 50% :p as n3ss3s said, te scriptrs you posted just looks like a small orange thingy :p

The only person who really causes pages to expand is Nielsie. Get him to remove some.

This is not a bandwidth issue. We have 2000 GB each month. Pure an esthetic issue. The current ones eat up a lot of vertical space.
I think they are kinda cute, besides it opens the opportunity to stack 'm as well.

Those 50% then? I actually like it. Can still see em and not taking to much attention from the post.

I generally prefer them the way they are, to be honest.

Ohhh you have it viewed at vertical postbit
I think the majority of people have it set to horizontal postbit.

I'm currently on Horizontal display mode. I like them the way they are.

If it's not a bandwidth issue then I think they should stay as they are. Cups are perfect sizes atm.

Vertical postbit?
It basically moves your Avatar, title, name, cups, post count etc over to a vertically running bar on the left side of posts rather than a horizontal bar running above your posts.

I would love them at 25%! I use the vertical layout as well; the rank images look horribly large the way they are now, shrink as much as you like!

They look perfect on horizontal :p

Why dont we make them 25% for people using vertical and 100% for those who arent? That seems to be the defining factor in people's decisions

Vertical they look fine on 100% too imho. Why not make it a preference? (so you can choose on your profile if you want it 100% or 25%)

Is there any Admin out there that can implement that? I cant, or rather don't have the time :)

If it's still open for discussion, why not move the awards(on horizontal, at least) to the left of the name, not under it?

That doesn't make any sense…there would be almost no room for posts.

That would require more VB modding :p
The which of only superadmin have access to the options to do so.

I mean, right now, the awards are under the name, if they're placed after the name(and shrinked to 75%?), it should look good unless your resolution is 800x600.
