SRL Archive - Banned from RS

A long time ago when I was quitting RuneScape, I decided to use a popular and noticeably detectable auto miner on my character because I just didn't care for it. It had a total lvl of 1550 and I spent a lot of time to get it where it's at.

Does anyone have a good appeal for breaking Rule 7 on a last chance appeal? I have a chance to salvage my character so I'm hoping on getting a few good ones.

Here's one I just wrote, critique if you can.

Hello. When my character was banned, it was a huge shock. At the time, my family and I knew nothing of internet security and we had quite a few viruses on our Windows XP computer which Spybot and other antivirus software found.

I would always notice strange things such as my character appearing in different locations every time I logged in and I changed my password a few times and it still kept happening. Quite a few times, it would say that I couldn't login because I was logged in already! A month later, my account was banned.

Since then, we have switched to running Ubuntu Linux and have never had the problem anymore. Unfortunately, I never got my character back and was forced to restart with a different character. Could you help bring back my character which I started when I was just a freshmen in high school?

Well if your IP has changed, then it will probably work.

I don't think Jagex even personally reads most of their appeals. If it was a members account you'd probably have a better chance of them actually reading it.

I already did this on one of my accounts aswell. Just say it has been a long time and you have grown u alot since then and that you wouldnt do anything like that again and that you miss the game and such.

It should work, that what I said and it worked perfectly.

Thanks for the input. I'm not sure if telling them the truth in anyway is a good idea. I'm not saying you're lying about your own character, it just seems like a big risk on such a high lvl character. I think I might send my appeal in unless others can suggest a different kind of appeal or support one or the other.

I'll wait a little longer because I really hope to get some more feedback before I submit the appeal.

The stats are incredible. My lowest stat is farming, lvl 55. 2 santa hats, 32 glories, over 10k runecrafted of law, nature, and air runes. Only 1 m in cash. About 10 sets of every dragonhide armor. Many many gems. Multiples of a lot of items. 1 dragon medium helm. A few sets of rune. Over 3k unalched yew long bows, 2k cut yew logs, 3k flax, 1k bow strings. SO MANY SEEDS AND HERBS! I'm sure some other stuff too.

haha I was such an addict! I'm just glad to have my account back. I'll play every now and then, but it's just such a shame that all the friends I made in RS are long gone. My buddy list used to have around at least 20 people logged in at all times. Now no one is. I will probably just keep the account for posterity. Maybe show my kids in 20 years.
