EDIT: If it doesn't contain scripts, it's a good idea.
Perhaps use the SRL Wiki instead… :)

i just read through the help guide :) Read thqt qnd you'll be able tounderstand how to create a new page. Also, you can already edit the text in it by pressing [edit]

i have a couple of suggestions; For the scripts you should pickup all these details:

Script Name | Script Author | Script Section | Link | Description (1/2 lines e.g. PowerFishes and banks at draynor)

let's try to leave out the part of "which one is the best", as that will depend pretty much on what the person needs.

Also, i suggest that when putting up a new script in the wiki that you make it in a format that could easily be passed on to a post.

When people see this starting to get used they might just go and add the scripts themselves :)

Also, take advantages of what the wiki gives you. you don't have to do everything yourself. For example, you could just make a post in general telling people you've added a few scripts and that those who want to add their own to do so ;)

Those are just some suggestions, feel free to run this the way you feel about it ;)

EDIT: Redid thread.

I suggest categorizing the scripts with level 2 headers into which skill they are associated with. Will look better.

Also keep it to just Jr. member scripts. Free for all and Member scripts - there isn't that many of them so remove the section as well.

E:
If we really want script sections, I suggest Level 2 headers or w/e. Something to organize the FFA, Jr. and Member script sections if wanted. I really only see Jr. needed though.

Also members when your adding your own script ask yourself; Is it running well? Should I put my script up yet? Will I update it? Does it deserve to be placed up there?

I'm sure you get where I'm going but because all members+ can edit the wiki don't be pompous about your script(s) and add all of them when only a couple should be up there.

Edit:
Oh and I think a Reflection note should be added to scripts that require it. There are some good reflection scripts out there so they should be included and marked appropriately.

Narcle, Updated to what you said. Does that look good? I could make each script a subsection of each skill, but it would look bad in the Contents part.

You can put members up, no FFA… those are to obvious. Its a link to the thread so people who arn't members still can't get it.

There should be an indication of the date each script was added to the list or re-confirmed to be working, and perhaps a recommended date for each entry to be re-checked.

That always seems to be the downfall of a list like this. As soon as a handful of links get outdated, the list gets ignored until it's completely irrelevant and you have to start over again.

That and because it is usually aone man's job. I'll break a forum rule in a sec and make a double post when i'm doing reading through the wikis and pu my thoughts into it. I'll also be sending out a few PMs to set a person as "moderator" of each project, just to make sure it is going in the right direction. I ophe power will not run up people's head's, use it wisely, listen to what others have to say.

Oh yeah, I was thinking of that earlier Tara… Maybe a 2 week checkup after the last update date? Maybe even a week if people are active enough.

i think the date in this format will be the best, as it'll avoid confusion.

Narcle, TVIH, Zasz, Camo: one of you should make a thread in Script Requests explaining this project and how to use / add on to the wiki. You can also mention that they can just post it in the thread. (it's probably best not to get pms).

When you do, shoot me a pm, i'll unstick the old "Best JM Scripts" and stick your thread up.

I'll make it. Where should I place it / name it? cause its jr. and member scripts

Junior Members section, Script Requests, where the old one was.

So far there are no Member only scripts in there, but even when they do get there in JMs it'll be just fine. Members pretty much know what updated scripts there are in members anyway. And JM will get the "not authorized access", which will be just fine.

Alot of the scripts you just added are waayyy outdated.

Ex: JuKKas guild miner and wizzup? VEM. Tara's ChickenKiller.

Oops, didn't realize that. Jukka's and Wizzups VEM is coming off. Tara's still works. But VEM by MasterKill still does work. Just not like when it first came out.

Soon enough there will be a replacement for MasterKills VEM anyways ;) ;)
